Project Summary
This project aims to empower young (single) parents along with young parents, who often raise their children without sufficient family and financial supports, to enable them to cultivate their self-confidence and participate in society as responsible individuals. They will build foundation of business skills through the program and become economically independent for their families. These young disadvantaged (single) parents will be train in entrepreneurial skills to be able to be self sustainable. The young disadvantaged (single) parents will also be given basic business skills to become economically independent. The main project instruments for achieving this project result are obviously the project core activities:1. (Fellowship Program) – consisting of an introductory programme on youth entrepreneurship education – will enhance the educational competences of youth workers on youth entrepreneurship education, specifically on achieving life goals, entrepreneurial thinking and soft skills development. As an outcome of these strengthened competences, youth entrepreneurship education programmes conducted by the participating youth workers and the partner organisations will be more effective, goal-oriented and applicable to the learning needs of the young people.2. The research and development activities will create open educational materials on youth entrepreneurship education in form of 2 training manuals and 2 corresponding evaluation schemes on soft skill development and entrepreneurial thinking. As an outcome of these activities, youth entrepreneurship educators in the partners’ countries and beyond will have access to consistent, youth friendly and applicable educational resources for youth entrepreneurship education at local level in their community with young people. Thus, non-formal education on soft skill development and entrepreneurial thinking for young people will benefit from the production of these materials.3. The local training courses on entrepreneurship education for young people will directly provide you people with entrepreneurial competences and prepare them for applying these competences in the local youth entrepreneurship initiatives. Thus the combination of the educational programme and the youth entrepreneurship initiatives offers young people space for personal development, particularly in soft skills and entrepreneurial thinking, through education and learning by doing.
