Project Summary
The project “From teacher to teacher” was a strategic partnership between five European countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, Portugal. All kindergartens and schools are having also the preschool level..
The context of the project – Internationally, the need to promote inclusive education is confirmed by numerous international documents compiled in recent years by UNESCO, the ONU, the Council of Europe, the European Commission. Inclusive education highlights the possibility that organizational and methodological changes in schools, as a reaction to the learning difficulties of some children, leading to the improvement of teaching-learning for all students. The application of this concept in school involves child-centered learning , valuing diversity, democracy and human solidarity — an open, friendly, flexible, adapts,school itself learns and changes. School systems should form the young European citizens with the necessary skills in a global competitive society based on knowledge. We proposed a multilateral projects on exchange of experience and best practices, on exchange of ideas and knowledge, to increase quality of education and the limitation of social exclusion, marginalization and discrimination, and promotes non-discrimination and equality in education, acceptance of physical, mental, economic, social diversity and cultural.
The main AIM OF THIS PROJECT: Promoting the best practice in terms of social inclusion in order to develop key and social competences for all children through innovative methods and technologies such as education through Art, ICT, games, collaborative learning, emotional education or others.
THE OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT was:
1 – Exchange of best practice between partner countries having like an aim to train teachers from each country that are involved in the project during those 3 tranining meetings in Portugal , Bulgaria and Estonia, in terms of social inclusion of children.
2 – Improving teacher qualifications in eight schools in the EU and the motivation for work and therefore increase job satisfaction everyday.
3 – Increasing the percentage of inclusion with 15-20% on children educationally or socially disadvantaged in our classes.
4 – Increase by at least 20% of family involvement and cooperation with them as a result of project activities in partner organizations.
In the project was organized two transnational meetings and three short-term training for teachers. The number of indirect beneficiaries are about 3000, like: other teachers, parents, community representatives and other stakeholders.
The main target group to which the project addresses are at least 118 teachers from all partner school that showed interest in lifelong learning by participating in continuing education projects and partnerships for education. They exchanged best practices for upgrading of teaching that would provide an education centered on the individual needs of children, stimulate their creativity and support children in personal development, in order to achieve better results by learning and guidance in adult life.We appreciated that the formation of transnational exchange of best practices and organization of learning situations produced results that will enable them to acquire skills that will help increase the quality of teaching in Europe;
The results expected during the project was: Enhanced cooperation between partner schools as a result of their collaboration,
– Improved teaching skills in a new, interactive and attractive way for pupils, responding to the needs of everyone, including those with special needs, and enabling children to develop at their own pace.
– Teachers have promoted non-discrimination and equality in education, acceptance of educational, economic, social and cultural diversity.
– Each school has created an inclusive environment that responds to individual needs, increasing the chances of success of all children, has led to self-esteem, value for people, encouraging open communication, reducing discriminatory behaviors and stereotypes
– the cultural and multicultural horizon of teachers has been developed, promoting European values through intercultural exchange
– Teachers have developed new Skills, knowledge, attitudes of teachers, satisfaction of everyday work.

-Development of creative thinking oh children and fostering creativity of teachers
– Development of attitudes and behaviors of tolerance, generosity, friendship for children from disadvantaged peers.
– Enhanced ICT skills and language skills among teachers and interest for children in foreign languages
We wish to inspire as many teachers as possible regarding the teaching process and to change the manner in which children learn. The learning activities should be based on a joint effort of teachers and of students.
