Project Summary
The project responded to the current needs of partner schools related to changing the content and forms of learning in line with the lifestyle of young people in the 21st century. It offered students, teachers and school managers international educational experience and developed their competencies necessary for work and social life. He supported the mobility of pupils and teachers as a unique source of personal experience through 6 international meetings in 6 partner schools. The target groups were high school students of various ages and fields of study, teachers of general and vocational subjects, managers of partner schools, parents of students, members of the local community.
The project brought strong themes such as a global worldview, social, personal and communication skills, environmental, civic, digital, media, technical literacy, a healthy lifestyle and developed the soft skills of young people, such as critical thinking and creative problem solving, teamwork and cooperation, multiculturalism.
Tasks in the project were planned for students, teachers and school managers, were implemented continuously and presented during international meetings. Students prepared presentations on the topic Welcome to our city and school, European Year of Cultural Heritage in our country, Hello! Saturday full of ideas, Let’s stay green!, I’m a volunteer. And you?, ICT – our helper or enemy?, Addictions of young people. The presentations were followed by interactive workshops with interesting tasks. Teachers and school managers prepared presentations in 6 thematic blocks: School Management, Curriculum, Students´ Development, Teachers´ Development, School Social Climate, Cooperation with the Community aimed at creating a modern school for all in the 21st century.
In the implementation of the project, the most frequently used methods were: observation, analysis, synthesis, deduction, comparison, interview, description, sharing experiences, evaluation, document analysis, case studies, interpretation, problem-based teaching, research methods, experiential, optimal communication, heuristics.
The project results are PC presentations, videos, photos, student concepts, itinerary from partner countries, questionnaires, demonstrations of folk art, diagrams / worksheets, reports, mind maps, 3D products, posters, evaluation documentation, products, technical descriptions of installations, recipes for healthy food and drinks from the regions.
The project participants gained experience in the field of new digital technologies, data collection and processing, reading and mathematical literacy. The project made it possible to share experiences in the field of design thinking or alternative lifestyles abroad, enriched the curriculum with new topics and methods of work and thus increased the quality and diversity of teaching and motivation to study. It has improved the image of partner schools and increased the interest of primary school pupils, their parents and the public in school life. But importantly, it has created new relationships between teachers and pupils from partner schools and strengthened the awareness that we are the members of a large family within the EU.
