Project Summary

Our project is entilted” I am proud to be European” and deals with cultural heritage. It will be realised by students and teachers of five secondary schools from Poland, Croatia, Romania, Portugal and Italy.Its main objective is to increase our students’ and teachers’ awareness and knowledge concerning the atractivness of our local cultural heritage resulting from our multicultural past.The detailed objectives comprise;
– discovering lesser known places of multucultural dimention that may become attractive to locals
and tourists, promoting our local cultural heritage, getting to know and accepting the differences and similarities concerning culture, history and customs of our partners, increasing students’ and teachers’ language competence of English, German and Spanish, increasing students’ and teachers’ competence concerning the usage of modern technologies, developing soft competences, such as assertivness, efficient communication and team- working . Through realising the project’s tasks we want to achive our goals. Our tasks will be realised locally: organising a conference fot teachers taking part in the project on cultural heritage and its promoting, preparing a set of lesson plans to be used by teachers of different subjects on cultural heritage, preparing by students’ city games in the
partners’ towns respectively, praparinga guided tours of the lesser known places chosen by students
that might be attractive to locals and tourists. Finding such places and photographing them, later on
preparing an exhibition to show such places will make tourists more interested in comming to our towns. Students and teachers working on the project will travel to their partners’ countries, get to know their cultural heritage, customs and cuisine. They will also get to know each other and build their own European network. We do believe that thanks to our project both students and teachers will be able to become proud of their local cultural heritage , as well as they will grow to accept and appreciate the cultural heritage of their partners, which will later on result in their becoming a part of European heritage.
