Project Summary

SUMMARY
Our project involved 5 partner schools from 5 different countries:
HALIL BEDİİ YÖNETKEN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL (TURKEY))
OO GOCE DELCEV (REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA))
GYMNASIUM OF TRIKALA (GREECE))
CEIP EL SANTO (SPAIN))
IC DON L MILANI (ITALY))
The main purpose of our project was to prevent social exclusion by preventing peer bullying, especially migrant students, and to ensure social integration of these students.
There are migrant students in five schools within the scope of our partnership. Our project helped the participant schools to keep the immigrant students within the educational system, to integrate them socially and to prevent them from being excluded.
Peer bullying and social exclusion are the big obstacle to the school success of Immigrant students. Failure to school, peer tyranny and lack of social integration force these students to leave school early. The main purpose of our project was to help immigrant students to successfully complete their education and gain confidence, self-esteem,
social acceptance, tolerance and all basic skills by eliminating the negative effects of peer tyranny and peer tyranny. All of our partners were experienced in immigrant students.3 our partners had experience in Erasmus plus projects. In this context, experienced partners shared their experiences with inexperienced partners, and all partners shared their good practices and new methodologies in the education of migrant students with each other.
The project provided students with an international and multicultural atmosphere. The main achievement of the project was to increase the consciousness about bulling.
Preparing the panels, giving seminars and conferences, students presentations, bullying workshops, travels to other countries, artistic and sport activities have created a positive synergy in the schools. The complaints about bullying in the schools have decreased dramatically according to the final partner questionnaire.
Moreover, the improvement of English has been also achieved especially within the group of participators. Those participatory students talked, wrote and worked together. The friendship and co-work are also developed thanks to the programme activities. The main target groups were schools between the ages of 6-15 and teachers of these schools.
Other beneficiaries of the project were school staff, parents, local communities and national authorities. 220 students were actively participate in the project activities.
Approximately 3075 students were indirectly affected. Approximately 224 teachers are indirectly affected. Our project included a great variety of activities included festivals with traditional dances and costumes, theatrical performance, video-clips, art presentations, art and dance workshops, bullying and migrant presentations, gymkhana with sports,
traditional games presentations, nature activities such as trekking, hiking, swimming…
Each partner organisation introduced an ethnic art branch of their own country and give the opportunity to implement it. Each organization will promoted a cultural element of its own: offering a local meal and offering guests a local fashion show with local clothes; an ethnic dance show.
Some of the project effects and results were: recognizing different cultures, language learning, and approaching differences with tolerance. Moreover, improving the understanding of European citizenship, increasing the motivation of teacher and students and learning new instructional strategies, methods and practices.
Our project helped us to develop an international learning in the fields of language studies, Arts, sports and scientific. The main purpose of our project was to prevent peer tyranny applied to immigrants. In this context, our project embraced cross-border social interaction and differences with tolerance; once the project has been completed, they will continue to be part of each school’s institution mission. After the project, we plan to continue our cooperation as partner institutions, sharing good examples and innovations in education and to continue our communication for this purpose: We will cooperate for the e-twinning platform, we will continue to use the website created for the project, and
we will create local, regional and national networks.
On the other hand, the outcome and results of the project will be encouraging for all stakeholders interested in Erasmus projects. In addition of this, the activities, resources and solutions offered by our project will inspire many institutions that have problems with this issue. This is one of the indicators that our project is widespread and sustainable.
Finally, we used a partner questionnaire to evaluate all the aspects related to the development, results and impact of our project. All the achievements and results have been reflected in our digital blog, Erasmus+ Project Results Platform and Ewinning Platform in order to achieve a greater dissemination of our project.
