Project Summary

The most leading concern of today’s education system is choosing academic orientation which is suitable to one’s own ability and interest. According to researchers, the most important problem that high school students face, is the hesitation of choosing the right academic orientation and thus career orientation.
This project is here to make the professional univers more realistic and achievable for our students. To achieve this objective students will discover companies and campus, they will interview professionals and students in different countries.
They will have a better insight on:
-self-knowledge: what is suitable for each one of them,
-change prejudices that students can have on studies,
-professions and academic orientation,
-discover new European countries.
This way they can choose their suitable academic orientation.
This project is for students aged 17 years old, in general high school mostly interested by sciences and technology. During the mobility, there will be groups of 33 students ( 11 students by country) and 9 teachers ( 3 teachers by country).
During the week, the students will go at least two days on campus in the different countries, they will also have the possibility to talk with professionals and visit companies and they will also have cultural visits.
They have to list their prejudices on life on campus, living in big cities and about the academic orientation. After their meetings with professionals, the visit of companies and campus they will come back on their prejudices and figure out if they have changed or not and why. They will explain their impressions in transnational groups by posting videos on their twinspace.
If all goes has planned the students will have an fairer image of student’s life. They will discover that big cities are not that stressful and that there is solidarity between students. It may widen their horizons regarding doing their studies abroad and why not work abroad.
In the long term, the students will have more possibilities in their choice of higher studies and in their choice of career. This project will also open new possibilities with the European added value.
