Project Summary
Gender role is quite often seen as a granted role in the society. Blue is for boys, pink is for girls – this is something that the most of us are taught during our childhood. Male and female predetermined social roles often cause severe violation of women human rights and discrimination. Gender equality is a fundamental right, a common value of the EU, and a necessary condition for the achievement of the EU objectives of growth, employment and social cohesion. Club for Youth Empowerment 018 from Serbia would like to implement “It’s time!” project within Erasmus + program – the Capacity Building in The Field of Youth action, with its partners: Tolikas Media Company – Austria, Greenways SCE – Greece, Red Cross Novo Sarajevo – Bosnia and Herzegovina, Council for Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency – Macedonia, International Development Alliance – Bulgaria, Do-Lo-Ri – Albania and Art Republic Prague – Czech Republic. The consortium would like to organize “It’s time!” project for young people from Program and Partner Countries who will, as multipliers gain specific education tools for a gender-sensitive approach to human rights education.Aim:To motivate youth workers and young people to take more active role in promotion of gender equalityObjectives• To build capacities of 25 youth workers from Serbia, Austria, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Greece, Albania and Bulgaria in field of gender equality field and gender-based violence • To provide 25 youth workers from 8 countries with skills and knowledge to use video production, music and stop animation as methods for the promotion of gender equality and action against gender-based violence • To develop creative forms of youth work for raising awareness about gender inequalities and gender based violence• To equip 320 young people from 7 countries with different set of skills and tools to mobilize against gender inequality and gender-based violence • To launch and test new methods through It’s time awareness campaign Planned activities:1. Capacity building activity 1: Coordination meeting – August 20172. Mobility activity 1: Training course – September 20173. Capacity building activity 2: development of information, communication and media tools – Local workshops – October 2017/February 20184. Capacity –building activity 3: information and awareness campaigns – film festival – March 20185. Capacity building activity 4: information and awareness campaigns – online and offline actions – March /June 20186. Capacity building activity 5: Dissemination, distribution and multiplication – June/August 20187. Capacity building activity 6: Final conference – July 2018″It’s time!” project will be implemented from 1st July 2017 till 30th August 2018 in 8 European countries.
