Project Summary
Context:
All the participants are experienced in international cooperation. All of us strongly supported by school management agree that this cooperation (in the past years) was very useful for students, teachers and the whole community of schools.
Some of the schools already have cooperation with each other. The French and the Hungarian school have been working together for 5 years. The Romanian and the Hunagrian school have more years of bilateral cooperation. The Hungarian and the Italian school participated in a 2 years-Erasmus+ cooperation 3 years ago. The French, the Romanian and the Hungarian school are having an Erasmus+ cooperation working (2017/2019). We can work with each other very well and our cooperation is already fruitful that is why we would like to continue this teamwork in the following 2 years in the context of an Erasmus+ project.
The main objectives of our project:
To help students understanding it is worthy to be graduated (not to be an early quitter)
To help students to find the best professions they might be able to fulfill and which may fit their personality and skills
To better understand the ongoing changes of the job market
To understand that the future will be different from the era we are living in and prepare for this future
To learn how to work in international groups using several foreign languages
To learn how to adapt to people coming from other European countries having different culture and history
To learn good practices from other schools
To help teachers and students to discover which skills will be more important in the future
To find a way how these future skills could be improved in regular school lessons
To make possible for teachers to meet colleagues from other schools to learn from each other
To learn new teaching methodology and to give opportunity for colleagues to be resourced.
We also have included that one month exchange between Hungarian and French school. We are using to do it and we think that it can give some ideas to our partners to share that and to begin a new kind of partnership, deeper. We will give them a feedback from that mobility when we see them.
Number of participants:
As we plan to organize four mobilites we divide the two years into four semesters. Each semester contains one mobility.
Students:
For each semester we want to involve about 60-80 students and about 10-15 teachers in the program directly alltogether.
We decided to involve different students for each semester. So altogether about 250 students will participate in the project.
The age of students will be between 15-18.
Teachers:
There will be a fixed board of teachers and educators who are responsible and lead the project from each nations. They will be about 3-3-3-3 teacher from each nation. Beside these colleagues we would like to encourage our colleages to join this project for shorter time. We expect about 30 teachers and educators can be involved in the project alltogether.
Beside these students we plan that during each mobility we organaize a half day event where half of the host school can participate. (theater, exhibiton, presentation to others)
Outside experts, companies:
We plan to invite experts outside the school to get know their profession and we will visit companies.
Description of activities:
Preparation phase will be an important part of our project.
We would like to involve students and teachers having different interest so we prepare activities which focuses on different areas. (natural science, economy, art, drama etc.)
We would like to use different IT tools which are good for collaboration and for dissemination in an effective way.
During mobilites we plan activites which use the result of preparation period.
We will visit companies and interview representatives of different professions.
The students will work in groups and they have to elaborate a product which will have benefit for the whole community.
Methodology:
Use different methodologies (cooperative learning, self-learning) and would like to learn from each other. (CLIL, role play, project work, self regulated learning)
The project work will be a most essential methodology we are going to use.
Encourage the self regulated learning.
Simulation game is a methodology we would like to try.
Result and impact:
We hope that following impact will effect the students, teachers, parents and even certain part of town we live into.
They will get a much better picture about the future.
We hope they will be choose better what to do after secondary school.
They will get an impulse that it is worth learning. The long life learning is not only idea of teachers.
They will make new friends during the project and these frienships will be long lasting.
They will learn about other countries and nations much better than before.
They will be more experienced at co-working in an international team.
