Project Summary

“Content and language integrated learning as a guarantee of success” is an interdisciplinary project that gives the students the opportunity to acquire mathematical, scientific and IT competences while improving the English language. The project involves the cooperation of the SP3 with the FEDAK Sant Andreu school in Barcelona. The goal of the project is to help ​​ students from both schools discover and explore the fascinating world of nature by carrying out experiments, conducting their own research and ecological projects, and then sharing the results of their work with foreign partners. Not only communication between project participants in English (email exchange, videoconferences), but also joint creation of dictionaries (Polish-English-Spanish) in the field of various scientific and mathematical problems will allow students of both schools to develop their vocabulary in a foreign language.

The project is designed to stimulate the student’s cognitive curiosity and motivate them to learn natural science and mathematics through the use of activating and problem teaching methods. Cross-curricular correlation will allow the student to create a holistic image of phenomena and processes occurring in nature and a comprehensive perception of the surrounding world. Learning through action will make the teaching process more effective and activities more attractive to students, what will also allow to achieve higher didactic results in education.

All the materials collected by students, scenarios of workshops conducted by teachers will be published on the TwinSpace platform and the Facebook page of the project in order to disseminate the results. The new methods developed will be included in the work plan of both schools.

The project will include 4 short-term student exchanges, during which participants will participate, among others in mathematics and natural science workshops.
