Project Summary

This project arises from the association of the IES Alonso Cano in Dúrcal, Spain, the 5th comprehensive istituto Paolo Vasta of Sicily, the OS school Djura Jaksic of Zajekar, Serbia and the 1st Jeniko Lykeio of Amaliada, Greece. Some of them are used to new technologies, other are specialist in attending ethnic minorities in their classrooms, but all of them have a common interest: they want their students to know and share the knowledge of the natural and cultural heritage that still remains around them.
Thus arises “Learning together through our heritage”, an project for students between 12 and 15 years old, which addresses the study of heritage from sports, mathematics, and of course, literature, art, history, biology and geology … It is based on active methodologies, use of ICTs, field trips, Virtual Reality, and its aim is to promote respect for different cultures, international cooperation and the feeling of belonging to an inclusive Europe.
The project involves four groups of 8 students from Spain, Italy, Serbia and Greece respectively, accompanied by 2 teachers from each country, to visit the places where their culture originated and to know the vast heritage that each one of them has. But previously, they are bound to have exchanged an exhaustive work and have generated resources that may be available to those who want to use them in eTwinning, and that we would also like to share with other educational organizations.
