Project Summary

The project “ Let’s celebrate together” focuses on necessary as well as current social topics of contemporary life . It was directed towards the laying of the foundations of civil and intercultural education of children aged 3 to 7. We have realized this project with the awareness that our children are a part of the European multicultural community and that we are responsible for them to learn and apply the Europe-tolerated fundamental values, common to all mankind in their behavioral patterns
The objectives of the project were as follows:
1.To foster the sense of belonging to the European multicultural community where citizens share common values in the children of pre-school age.
2. To educate children in social and civil properties, attitudes and relations through the various art forms in the process of “Experiential Learning”, combined in non-traditional holidays and entertainment, common for all European partners.
3. To enhance education quality at the earliest children’s age.
The tasks of the project were directed towards :
– application of the method of “Experiential Learning” in all scheduled activities involving the children.This method helped the children for the emotional co- experiencing of each of the holidays we had celebrated in the partnering institutions thus making the project accessible , useful and fun for the target group of children;
– to develop attitudes and relations typical of people with civil self-consciousness and responsibility in the children;
– improvement of the professional profile of the pedagogic experts;
– improvement of the interaction between the kindergarten and the family as well as between the kindergarten and other institutions;
– fostering the use of the creative approach in activities with our partners as well as the use of IT technologies, various online tools and virtual platforms.
The “Let’s celebrate together” project united the efforts of partners from 6 European coutries in an innovation cooperation. All partner institutions were kindergartens, except the Italian one which was a school including 6 groups of children at a pre-school age. The partners under the project were as follows:
1. Parvi Iuni kindergarten, Bulgaria- the coordinator
2. Siauliu r. Kursenu lopselis-darzelis “Buratinas” , Lithuania- a partner
3. Darica Namik Kemal Ilkokulu , Turkey – a partner
4. 1° Circolo Didattico “Leonardo Da Vinci” Trapani – a partner
5. JUDG Detska Radost – Macedonia
6. GRADINITA RAZA DE SOARE – Romania
The activities for achieving the objectives included celebration of international days and holidays, which are common for the partners : World Day of Tourism, International Day of Music, International Day for Tolerance, International Thank-You Day, International Day of the Random Acts of Kindness, World Water Day, World Book Day, Europe Day, Friendship Day, European Day of Languages, World Animal Day; European Day of Healthy Food and Cooking, World Snow Day, International Mother Tongue Day, World Theatre Day, International Dance Day, International Day of Families, International Children’s Day.
The main target groups were children, teachers, parents and representatives of various institutions.
The acquisition of skills and knowledge as well as the formation of attitudes and relations in the children was conducted through the process of “Experiential Learning” during holidays, entertainment activities, events i.e. the children were learning through their own emotions and experience which made the project accessible, emotional and fun and gave plenty of results.
The project yielded the following results:
1. Children’s acquisition of knowledge about Europe, the countries and institutions of our partners;
2. Mastering and testing of knowledge and attitude towards the various international days celebrated by Europeans together;
3. Knowledge about the various cultures, traditions, rituals, folklore, symbols , capitals, etc. was also acquired ;
4. Mastering by the children of the fundamental rules, common values and culture in human behavior;
5. Enriched pedagogic technologies of the teachers;
6. Improved foreign language skills and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) competences of the pedagogical experts;
7. Enhanced quality of the educational service in the partnering institutions;
8. Improved communication between the educational establishments, the families of the children and other institutions;
9. Enhanced administrative capacity, improved skills for partnership management;
10. Improved team work in the institutions.
11. The participating institutions raised and established their authoritativeness before other institutions as well as before the public.
During the project implementation the partners showed very good organization, positive and disciplined attitude and satisfaction by the activity as a whole. To sum it up, we can state that the accomplished project was more than successful.
