Project Summary
The “Level Up” project is a response to the needs of non-governmental organizations that have been implementing international mobility projects so far, financed both from the funds of the Erasmus plus program and other sources that needed professionalization of their activities and new, innovative work tools and transfer of experience and good practices from abroad.
The aim of the project was to develop innovative tools – reusable, further modifying and adapting depending on the needs, which allow both to more effectively plan and implement projects, both at the level of the organization itself and the project management staff, but also youth trainers and the participants themselves . The aim of the project was also to build a network of partnerships between youth organizations and youth organizations from Poland, Great Britain and Italy, which will allow them to go “a higher level” in implemented international activities; as well as the acquisition of new competences and skills by natural persons participating in the project.
The project was attended by NGO members, experts and trainers from three countries – from Poland, Italy and Great Britain in the number of over 30 people.
As part of the project, the following activities were carried out:
1. Project meeting of representatives of partner organizations
2. Creating an innovative internet platform addressed to non-governmental organizations and other entities implementing and preparing an international project, enabling:
– exchange of information, good practices and experience between organizations from different countries.
– participatory management of projects through contact with project participants, exchange of information between organizations
– establishing partnerships between organizations preparing new projects
– consulting concepts, ideas for new ventures, project consultations
– providing, on the basis of an open license, training and teaching materials created by the project implementers, but also organizations that will want to disseminate the results of their work through it
– evaluation of projects and other joint activities (thanks to the possibility of creating surveys and questionnaires for specific groups of users)
– diagnosing the needs of project participants, as well as collecting opinions and comments from persons participating in the projects
– search for experts and trainers (creation of an internet database of trainers and youth experts)
– creating informal groups of young people in order to later work on projects (social function)
– the platform has a rich database of contacts, logically ordered according to various criteria, which will ensure easy and quick access to the most important information.
3. Organization of an information seminar in Italy, during which participants exchanged good practices and experiences in the implementation of interesting workshops and educational methods supporting the development of soft skills, which will then be collected and posted on the Non-Governmental Cooperation Platform. During the seminar, participants also identified challenges for NGOs in implementing projects using IT tools.
4. Organization of training in the use of the Non-Governmental Cooperation Platform in the preparation and implementation of international projects and exchange of good practices.
5. Organization of a transnational conference promoting the use of PWP, promoting the use of modern technologies in the process of non-formal education.
The methodology used in the implementation of the project was based on close cooperation of partners resulting from the partners’ complementary experiences and knowledge, as well as cooperation with experts. Non-formal educational methods and active participation of young people at every stage of its implementation were of great importance in the project.
