Project Summary

Live the European Business Experience

Five countries, five schools and five business organizations, one from each country.
Partners: Sweden, France, Norway, Belgium, and Spain.

To strengthen the cooperation between schools and business/industry in our regions we want to work closer with schools and businesses in an international context.
The future is international, also for smaller businesses and their employees. Our students are the next employees of the regional businesses in the five regions. All schools are situated in mostly rural regions with small or medium size cities close.

Businesses and business organizations in our regions are depending on competent labour-force to
survive in a more and more complex and international market situation.

This competence can easily be found in another country or at another school. We just need to :

– build the network,
– prepare schools to teach their student the right competences,
– make the businesses understand that they have to open their mind and doors to foreign employees.
– Make the students learn that it is possibilities outside their hometown, region and country.

We have to give them the European Business experience.

We want to do this by focusing on schools cooperating with local businesses and business organisations, by letting students and teachers from
another country visit them and experience the life in their business in their country.

We want to do this by giving them the possibility to have short time mobilities to schools and businesses in our partner
countries.

We think that this will open the minds of business owners and business organisations, to look wider when they are hiring people.
We think that this will make young people from rural areas more confident in themselves and make them employable for businesses in other countries.
We think that it will have a great impact on teachers and schools to think and teach with a wider international horizon.

We want to carry out this project and let our students experience and share their experiences with all interested by making video blogs on youtube, by sharing their experience of cultural differences and similarities, Sociocultural differences and similarities, relevant competence working abroad, importance of language.

This will be carried out by letting students and teachers take part in short mobilities where they will work in schools and in businesses to increase their professional education at an international level,
To experience that competence learned in Norway will be relevant also in France or Belgium or Spain
To give teachers the knowledge that their teaching is relevant for an international job-market, to give them the experience of sharing with and learning from other teachers in other countries.
To prepare the young people for their future job.
To give some larger recruitment opportunities to the businesses in integrating European and creative know-how.
To allow the European professional organizations, the entrepreneurs and our partner schools to build together strong and sustainable bridges between the business world and the education world to create the social and economic Europe of tomorrow.
