Project Summary

Maritim heRitage accRoss Europe (MARE) is a cooperation project between three organisations who aims at save and promote maritime heritage :

– Albaola, in Spain, the only project in the world in this field having a Unesco patronage, situated of the atlantic coast.
– Cesenatico maritim museum, in italy, on the adriatic coast,
– and as a coordinator, Aventure pluriel, a french non-profit organisation based on the mediterranean coast.

The MARE project proposes 3 training sessions of 4 days, during 18 month and adresses topics such as:
– exhibition scenography, in order to promote et raise awairness about maritim heritage,
– traditional rigging, which is essential to know how restore and build traditional boats,
– traditional sailing, to pratice and get a lively maritim heritage.

Thi project will put forward mutual learning aproach in order to strengthening the skills of these organisations and exchange best practices.

The results of the action will be an improvement of skills of the participants and better services delivered from the organizations involved. The work implemented will be the collected in a report capitalising best practices observed, interviews from the participants and knowledge gathered during the training.
This report will be disseminated at local, national and european scale. It will be traduced in english to reach maritim heritage actors in Europe.
