Project Summary
The project objectives are based on an analysis of current and assumed future needs of both partners involved – the need of competency and personality growth of fellow workers, strenghtening their commitment, interconnecting the schooling with practice, using the virtual mobility and innovative learning approaches. On the organisation´s side there is need of improvement of strategic planning, building of capacities, supporting local projects and interregional/international cooperation and mutual enriching.
The aim of the project is:
1) to create an educational program using modern pedagogical methods focused on personality growth of participants and development of their competencies in the fields like pedagogy, leadership, management and handing over spiritual and ethical values.
2) to verify this program
3) to train a group of workers with children and youth as lecturers/instructors of education courses and as leaders of higher organisation sections and projects.
Participants of the project are two associations focused on work with children and youth from Czech and Slovak Republic.
The association Klub Pathfinder (KP) is focused on work with children and youth with a goal to help them with basic orientation in life, in gaining of useful and right habits, skills and competencies. It leads children and youth to be responsible to themselves, other people, environment and also to God the Creator.
The main field of the work is concentrated into regular group activities, weekend thematic meetings, nationwide or regional meetings and summer camps or international camporees. KP-lecturers at elementary schools raise children´s awareness of socially undesirable phenomena and it´s prevention.
Klub Prieskumník – Pathfinder (KPP) is a Slovak citizens’ association focused on effective use of free time of young people. Children and youth are organizated in groups led by young leaders, whose voluntary work is based on principles of participation, democracy and non-formal education.
Activities implemented within the project are directly connected with working out of basic project-outputs, which are:
1) The preparation, development and implementation/verification af three e-learning modules (1 – pedagogy, 2 – leadership and management, 3 – personal and spiritual growth) and their evaluation, suggestions and correction of content and methods and implementations into practice (on the side of association and participants).
2) Content and methodical preparation of four attendance meetings incl. preparation methodics, its realization, evaluation and validation of worked out materials.
The result of the project is an educational program which uses a blended learning with a maximal emphasis on using experiential pedagogy and interactive forms of studying, where the forms and methods used are based on constructivist attitude to education.
The expected impact on the level of organization is a) development of competencies of the participants on educational program (affective, cognitive and behavioral parts) in the field of pedagogy, management, leadership and spiritual growth b) high motivation of these graduates for work leading to further development of organization and improvement of offered services
On the regional and national level we presume primarily the extension and improvement of activities and projects of organization and offering better services to target groups – children and youth. We expect numerical growth of the group of competent and motivated volunteers able to take care of particular projects or coordinate bigger units and thus support decentralization of services offered to regions. On the national and European level we presume the borrowing of project outputs by our partners or similarly focused organizations from Czech republic and other countries.
By creating the new educational program and further education and extending the competences of workers with children and youth we want to contribute to proposing, implementation and performing of reforms of education and proffesional training in personal life of individual and on the labour market. We want to seek for and offer new opportunities by constant improvement of workers competencies with respect to inovations, knowledge economy, support of equal opportunities and sustainable development – within our own region and on the level of international cooperation.
