Project Summary
Main objective of the project is to form Young Virtuoso Academy, based on the workshops – carried out through informal education methods – for talented youth from Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine. It is our intention that in the future the Academy – having acquired well proven educational tools – will help successive groups of young musicians polish their skills. Another goal, closely related to the first one, is to promote classical music among young people from three different nations, not necessarily friendly, sharing some difficult historical experience in the hope that it may result in building up more trusting, friendly relationship. A social-educational web portal that is to be created should work towards developing international community of enthusiasts of high culture. To reach this aim we plan to publish three multilingual and multimedia publications which will offer information on some composers and performers as well as popularize classical music among bigger group of young people in different countries. An important part of the project are “virtuoso workshops” which will end up with three concerts taking place in prestigious concert halls in Lvov and Vilnius. It should intensify the efforts of the participants who will thus learn through experience and will also become known to general public.Completion of this project will affect large groups of youth by showing them that it is possible to break even most difficult barriers and fulfill one’s dreams. It will also make possible to create Young Virtuoso Academy which will enable young musicians to develop their skills while adult experts may find there young talents worth promoting.
