Project Summary

The project entitled „My education, my job, my future” is a result of cooperation of 8 countries. The partnership aims at reducing the number of students who are endangered of risk of early school leaving through a set of innovative and attractive activities. Due to researches carried out by EU in countries such as Portugal, Spain, Romania, Italy and Cyprus there is a high rate [about20%] of young people who decided to leave school early and the intention of the EU is to reduce this number up to 2020. In Poland, Latvia, Lithuania this rate is relatively low but some other researches show that in these countries young people show a little entrepreneurship. These activities of the project are delivered by using modern technology ICT and well planned communicative activities of using English and native languages of the participants. The participants of the project also develop a great sense of need for continuing education through activities focused on entrepreneurship and development of interpersonal abilities of self-expressing and developing hidden skills. The project also delivers a new way of using innovative and student-centered pedagogical approaches aiming at revising and strengthening the professional profile of teachers and schools in local communities. During the realization of the project students take part in every activity of the project in order to give them a strong sense of making decisions regarding the project and their personal decisions. The project equips the participants with a set of necessary skills which they use during selection of their further educational path and future career. During mobilities the participants undertake a set of workshops to master their skills in foreign environment, gather necessary knowledge of studying and working abroad. They also find out about possibilities of certification and validation of their predispositions for a particular job in a presented workplaces. The partnership believes that the project activities will encourage participants to stay at school to be better prepared for an adult life with potentially better job and vocational preparation. The project and its results and outcomes are universal and can be used by any educational institution due to the fact the actions are relatively short and can be used separately without the loss of any vital result of the project. The project will be valid for EU countries up to 2020 and is coherent with the EU policies and prevent of early school leaving. Due to this fact the project will last in all partnership institution for a few years and every year its potential will be still growing.
