Project Summary

The project “New methods and forms in cybersecurity of seniors” was based on the international cooperation of involved organizations from different fields of education and their experience with endangered target groups such as seniors. The project focused on developing innovative methods and forms on cybersecurity for seniors. The methods were developed and tested at transnational international meetings as well as directly with seniors in each partner country. We worked on the global research focused on the safety of seniors as well as our own research, where we compared the level of cybersecurity of seniors and students.
The intellectual output of the project is a methodological material for trainers, lecturers, and educators entitled “New Methods and Forms in Cyber Security of Seniors”, which will facilitate work with a specific target group such as seniors.
The dissemination took place mainly at the level of Third Age Universities in all partner countries, through non-governmental and other adult education organizations as well as through the international project website http://www.cybernetsecurityforseniors.eu.
This site offers the possibility to download all project outputs for other interested parties. The added value of the project is the interconnection of youth organizations through a current topic. Specific objectives include testing and developing project outputs, introducing elements into their adult education, including the necessary dissemination.
The project provides impetus through international methods to help project participants to activate their work, motivate them, develop themselves, combat burn-out and create a new workforce. As cyber risk methods are evolving rapidly, prevention needs to be adapted accordingly, which is exactly what this project is for.
This project deals with highly required topics. Together with the project partner, we agreed to prepare other projects needed for the education of seniors and this is the topic of fraud on seniors who are losing large sums because they are very trustworthy and vulnerable.
This project responds to the Europe 2020 and Education and Training (ET 2020) objectives.
