In ToVET we develop and pilot a system “Open Badges” were the learners can collect their proof of gained Key competences for lifelong learning during their time of study whether it is formally, informally or non-formally gained skills.

The Open Badges are based on the Mozilla Foundation’s open standard.
Open Badges is not a specific product or platform, but a type of digital badge that is verifiable, portable, and packed with information about skills and achievements
Open Badge is a digital picture, which contains metadata that informs who has issued the badge to whom and on what basis.
Open Badges are a digital way to show one’s expertise regardless of time and place.
At the same time, digital competence labels support the student’s competence building and self-orientation
