In 2014 Georgia signed the Association Agreement with EU, thus committing to reforms in energy and environment sectors, including the third package of the EU energy law. The association agreement implies that Georgia becomes a member of the European Energy Community. The EEC accession and introduction of appropriate legal framework in Georgia among other would enhance: Sustainability of energy system to internal and external factors; Harmonization with European legislation on environmental protection and its execution; Creation of sustainable low-E green energy system, which will contribute to safe delivery – reducing energy consumption through the introduction of renewable energy and energy-efficient systems; Investments in the energy system from European and other investors, including the European Investment Bank, which will boost employment, particularly in renewable energy and energy-efficiency sectors.Currently there is a significant lack of qualified workers for the market needs, especially regarding green skills, thus being the building sector one of the priority sectors where highly qualified staff will be required within the next years.Partnership for Entrepreneurship in Green Building Sector is aimed at promoting youth entrepreneurship in the field of sustainable architecture, engineering and construction through transnational non-formal learning project based on multilateral partnerships between organizations. The aim is to be achieved through developing training materials and tools for young individuals studying or graduating higher education or occupied in the field architecture, engineering, building design and energy. Emphasis of the training materials will be made on offering practical solutions to challenges present in the sectors of housing and energy of the applicant’s country (Georgia) and providing details on how to enhance self-employment in the field of providing services to potential customers. The project involves creation of online training platform to improve the skills of aforementioned group and enable them active inclusion into the business. As a secondary aim, the training platform will foster the use of ICT resources as training method. The tangible results from the project will be: • A training program and platform consisting of easy-to-use, innovative, ICT-based training materials;• A new ICT-based training methodology;• Training website.Intangible results will refer to personal development of the participating workers in the short-term, but also the increase of qualified workers and environmental skilled workers employed in the sector as medium/long term result.
