The project aimed at strengthening European citizenship by creating online teaching units dealing with the topic of “People in Need”, i.e. marginalization or other types of oppression or disenfranchisement. The project involved three schools from Germany, Italy and Spain. It has reached about 60 participants from ages 14 to18 from different societal backgrounds. Activities took place throughout the school year at home as well as during meetings. In terms of content, the project focused on these topics: refugees, handicaps, emotional hardship, fundraising opportunities. Based on these topics, students created an online magazine published on a website / blog: https://buxerasmusplus.jimdo.com.. This site includes three digital teaching units that can be used to learn about different kinds of needs in our three societies. After the completion of this project, is has become clear that its objectives have been reached: Students have visibly gained confidence, interest in other cultures as well as digital and communicative competence.
