Project Summary

The Polish school ZSOSnº1 is a sportive state school for children aged 10 to 16.

The Spanish centre Institut Escola Lloret de Mar is a state school for children aged 3 to 16.

The German school Kaufmannische Schule Stuttgart Nord is a state school that gets finantial contribution from private firms (business school) due to a training-employing relationship. It is for students above 16 years old and it gives access to post-compulsory education.

In the 3 mobilities that have been done, the accomplishment of the activity schedule (EPR15, 16 and 17) as well as the project management have been guaranteed. Linguistic synergies have been generated in all the three language of the exchange: Spanish, German, and, especially, English.

The Polish centre Zespol Szkol Ogolnoksztalcacych Sportowych nr 1 was the headquarters of the activities during April 2017, focusing on the sports sector as well as historical facts. The German centre Kaufmännische Schule Stuttgart-Nord was the host during November 2017, paying special attention to te productive and industrial sector and the Institut Escola Lloret de Mar (coordinator) was in charge during March 2018 with tourism as the target topic.

We have worked on the different educational systems of the three countries and thanks to this job shadowing, different methodological measures have been adopted in each country.

With respect to language (English being the working language), German and Spanish (both of them being optional subjects in the Spanish and German schools), there has been a natural immersion.

In each of the school, different activities have been put into practice related to organisations or firms which have provided plenty of information referring the ways of accessing employment. Each school has put special emphasis in his own sector: Stuttgart working on the industrial sector, Lloret de Mar in tourism and Krakow in sport. We have visited the firefighters and the way they work in each of the cities what have allowed us to make comparisons and it has also provided the possibility of an exchange between firefighters from Sttutgart and Krakow.

The results and impact achieved are multiple and have revaluated us as schools, for example, the increasement in the reputation and satisfaction of the students and families (EPR34) what has involved and increasement in the enrolment, especially in the Spanish school

It has also been noticed an important improvement in the results in the English subject, not only in internal but also in external examinations. Linking the results and the participation in the mobilities is a fact. A list of requirements promoting excellence were proposed in order to get a place in the mobility so that the selection was equitable and fair. The immersion has promoted a best autonomy in the foreign language, especially English.

The relationship between the private firm and the educative sector has improved. The different visits and interviews to the firms (especially the ones in Stuttgart and Lloret), to public administration employees or professionals have generated some explanatory videos by the students. The website is a free and public access resource that will be used in the future by the participant partners academically for subjects such as Labour and Orientation Formation or for the language subjects.

The relationship with local administration has improved since the Erasmus+ project favourably. In Lloret, internalising the centre has promoted high quality tourism and this has been welcomed.

The project has spread by means of external channels, the city hall and local media (written press, radio, social networks…)

Different material of expository nature (t-shirts, caps, and brochures, etc.) have been generated what has allowed dissemination. Some of the visits to firms or the administration have promoted relationship that may continue over time.

The contact with tourism offices have given rise to a training course ot the English language during the summer (EPR29), guided tours by tourism university students, etc. All these materials will be used during the visits (EPR6). Close schools have asked for information in order to apply for Eramus projects. The school Coll i Rodés in Lloret de Mar has established a company-school program with the German partner for an Erasmus+ project since they both share the dual system. A common eTwinning project has been carried out and we have achieved the quality stamp (https://live.etwinning.net/projects/project/147184).
