Project Summary
The background of this project is the expansion of international markets in Europe of both German and European companies: Peugeot and Opel.
It is the goal, therefore, to make educational materials available for students that can be used to apply to companies in Germany, France, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Through the easy to use and publicly available websites of Lycée Rene Cassin , Metz, as well as SBSZ Ludwig Erhard in Eisenach, students can also receive tips on interviewing, giving presentations and taking ability tests in different countries.
Fifteen students and trainees from Germany, and the same number from France, meet once in Eisenach and once in Metz each schoolyear. The participants change each year, so as to allow the maximum number of possible attendees. To guarantee that the work continues seamlessly, the previous group of participants will hand over their work to the new group.
The methods utilized in this project are binational in nature. The session begins with language recordings, then the students give each other interviews and correct each other`s resumes and cover letters. They also give presentations on tools commonly used by companies in their country, for instance giving an introduction an German`s DIN system.
The participants develop their working abilities with each other, but also with company representatives, such as staff leaders and a mediation team.
Every year a portion of the project will be published on the website, describing the application process in Germany, France, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
This site will be consistently cheked and updated. It is publicly available for all interested staff from the firms and possible for them to update.
