Project Summary

One of the central concerns of CIPRA, the International Commission for the Protection of the Alps, is to promote the interest, knowledge and ability to act of people in the Alps. The “Re.sources” project (follow-up project to “Living Labs” and “I-LivAlps”), which is scheduled to run for two years, brings people of different ages and from different Alpine countries together to work together to develop process and specialist knowledge on selected topics. The participants of this intergenerational project are committed to the sustainable development of the Alps at local, national and international level.
We want to enlarge and reinforce the Network that we are building in the Alps, which started with Erasmus+ project “I-LivAlps”, continued with “Living Labs”, and now enters a new stage with “Re.sources”. The role of young people in the Alpine region is strengthened by active youth participation. The project approach is participative and based on the principles of co-creation between young talents aged 13-30 years, environmental NGOs, civil society and politicians. All participants are actively involved both in the choice of topics and in the process itself. The project results include, for example, job perspectives to maintain or increase the attractiveness of Alpine regions for young generations, it should also help participants understand their position on the alpine territory, and their possibilities to act in order to fight against climate change. The project will be accompanied by media and communicated via traditional media channels as well as social media.
