Project Summary

REthinking EDUcation COmpetencies. Expertise, best practices and teaching in Digital Era (RE-EDUCO) is an action research project aims to create the best conditions of exchange best practices to produce innovation and cooperation in and between countries’ partners (Italy, Spain, Finland, Greece, Cyprus). The main objectives of RE-EDUCO is the improvement of the wide socio-economic environment by:
a. the creation of a bridge between different system such as: education-training-work; research-innovation-development necessary to contribute to restore an educating community
b. the innovation in organizational and educational processes to reduce the mismatch in job offer-demand in a digital era
c. the promotion of excellence in teaching and skills development
d. the spread of best practices at European level
e. the dissemination of a broader digital culture useful to manage responsibly digital technologies
RE-EDUCO has built a partnership among universities, research centers, training institutions, schools, associations, business accelerators and incubators, including different experiences, approaches and perspectives.
RE-EDUCO contributes to the improvement of teaching processes related to digital skills by:
– the understanding digital transformation and emerging skills recorded by the world of work, to offer important sources of information to students, teachers, families, policy and decision makers
– the improvement of teachers’ strategic skills in the use of new methodologies and online environment in education and didactical activities
– the experiment a new training model for students and teachers, which aims at contributing to the creation of digital competences to respond the new demands of knowledge and information society to education, raising the quality of teaching as required by all European documents.
RE-EDUCO produces 5 IOs:
IO1 A training scheme for Active citizenship for digital society. Skills and Formative Planning which includes
IO1.A1 Needs analysis: Competence profiles update: perspective and impacts for the future digital society for understanding the specific effect of digital revolution in local market labour.
IO1.A2 Empowering people and community. Risks and opportunities of digitalization for life
IO2 The Open Online Digital Education/Virtual training for Excellence in teaching, learning and skills development to promote quality teaching. This IO provides an international Alliance 4 Digital challenge Community (All4DigCha) and Training course and online learning community. This community of practices aims to create an European area for education and quality of education for and with digital. The Community will continue its activity behind the project ensuring continuity and sustainability of project results by an international perspective by the RE-EDUCO YouTube Channel.
IO3 aims to create new cooperation, networking, including network creation and strategies, peer learning by the School Contest: from idea research to digital start-ups sessions. An experience able to create positive cross-fertilization among school-university and work also to produce innovative project ideas to accompany the development of an entrepreneurial idea and start-up.
IO4 elaborates Learning/teaching/training material for Active Learning for digital innovation to improve their digital skills and competencies. The training will help them identify their personal gaps and will support them in gaining those skills needed in order to present their projects in an innovative way. IO4 release in open access the self-evaluation test and the free training modules to help students reach the identified standards set.

IO5 provides Methodologies and Guidelines for non formal learning methods. IO5 represents the final step by which the consortium realizes the peer review and evaluation for whole project results for updating and releasing both by Guidelines, recommendations and tool for non formal learning methods (IO5.A1) and Re-Educo Youtube channel (IO5/A2) to ensure the continuity and sustainability of community and lifelong learning online training paths for teachers. All materials are written in English and remain available in open access.

To favor the transferability of good practices and innovation among all partners RE-EDUCO provides one Training Activities. Strong relevance is assigned to events to disseminate good practices, knowledge, competences and resources. 4 events are realized by the consortium during 34 months to reach a significant number of people to involve in the digital transformation. All the project is monitored by a transversal action foreseeing an intermediate and final Evaluation, run by P1 in strong cooperation with other partners.
Communication and dissemination are also transversal actions which accompany all the project, concluding with an International Conference in Spain.
