International youth initiative,
Duha Tangram from the Czech Republic and EQUA from Spain

The unemployment of young people is recently a big problem in European countries. It is important toinvolve young people in work activities very soon, otherwise it will be for them much more difficult later.
Disabled young people are facing even more complicated situation. For them it is difficult to find a long-term job. This project will show one of the possible ways how to decrease the unemployment rate within the disabled young people – to teach them to create different handicrafts, to present their work, to sell the products and thus increase their competencies.
A group of young people from the organization Duha Tangram has taken part in this project; there were also several visually disabled people, some of them with more disabilities and non-disabled people as well. In the Spanish group there were young people with disabilities and non-disabled. The integrated groups from both organizations have learned basic information about conducting of business, about protected workrooms, legislative in their country, employment office etc.
The project was based on two parts – first part took place in in March 2015 in Czech Republic, second part took place in November 2015 in Spain. The young people from both groups have also met within the time of the project on creative workshops, where they have created products for selling.
During this work the young people have gained lot of different information and creative skills.
For a meetings in Cadiz in Spain both groups have prepared a large collection of products for presenting and selling. The profit of the selling has been given to the Spanish organization, it will be used to buy the material necessary for their training and educational activities.
This project had a very positive impact not only on the participants of this project, but also on participating organizations, other similar organizations and public people who will be involved.
Within this projectinformational material was prepared for future use that will help to increase the competencies of young people with disabilities and step by step decrease the unemployment rate.
