Project Summary

36 Youth workers will come to Scotland for 2 weeks to participate in a youth worker mobility exploring the concept of social enterprise and micro finance. On return to their own country. On return to their own communities the aforementioned trainee youth workers will deliver a 3 week programme delivering a programme about establishing social enterprises to the young people within their own organisations using their new found learning and implementing their own training. The activity provides youth work practitioners with a space to explore different approaches towards social enterprise models, understanding the characteristics, and methods to develop competences to develop a course of action to improve their practices.12 disadvantaged young people selected from Scottish young people who have been involved in social enterprise development and delivery will travel to Ghana to complete 2 month of EVS working with our partner in local situations which will expose them to emerging micro financing projects established and they will assist in volunteering with these schemes. Returning to Scotland with their new found learning they will deliver 3 training sessions to their peers imparting their learning and experience.
