Project Summary

Acoustic Course for Engineers is a unique combination of e-learning and hands-on simulation. Utilizing interactive examples and problem-solving tasks, ACE explains the role of acoustics in engineering and industry. The language of visualizations is comprehensible, universal, and easy to share with a multilingual team. The course help to understand the basic concepts of noise control in machinery and equipment. The cases are based on measurements performed at dedicated laboratory workstation. ACE has been developed by accomplished practitioners and scientists. It is designed to serve as modern self-development tool for engineers as well as comprehensive solution for professional education in work environment.
ACE is a part of a large, thought-out strategy aimed at expanding and strengthening acoustic knowledge, supporting the development of innovative teaching methods based on attractive and effective delivery of content, teaching methodologies and practices at national and international levels.
Groups of major recipients of ACE:
1. Specialists and students of various specialisations who use acoustic expertise in their daily work.
2. University teachers, mainly in the specialisation of acoustics or related specializations, who lecture in faculties such as process engineering, machinery construction, and subjects related to acoustics.
3. Company researchers of various specialisations to continuing professional development (CPD),
4. The students and lecturers of acoustics. These materials will constitute a multi-disciplinary source of expertise and examples for them.

The project involves 5 organizations from 4 countries – 2 enterprises (KFB Acoustics, Jazzy Innovations) and 3 universities (Slovak University of Technology, Catholic University of Leuven, Ruhr University in Bochum).
