Project Summary

The idea of the project was based on the interest of partner schools to organize a joint project for pupils and teachers on the current theme of sustainable development and protection of the environment. Our partnership consists of three schools – Slovakia, Norway and Croatia.
The involved project partners are secondary schools that are currently working on another common project of strategic partnership. The project focuses on cooperation in environmental education, not only in the form of discussions and excursions, but also through workshops and experiential learning in nature. The project’s target group are teachers and students, a wider regional community as well as representatives of regional environmental organizations and companies.
The objectives of the project correspond to the priorities of the project. At the level of all target groups, we will develop the key competences of students, promote the creativity of students and teachers. At the level of school management, we focus on implementing new elements (environmental education, CLIL, cross-curricular relationships, methodology) into school educational programs.
During the implementation of the project, we will organize 3 short-term exchanges of partner school pupils and 1 short-term teacher mobility. During these meetings, but also within the educational process in schools, students will prepare project outputs:
-Updating the school educational programs with topisc within the environmental education
-brochures / presentations about the system of the protection of the nature in each country
– a common competition about nature protection
– a set of games about “Nature protection” – quizzes, tests ..
– travel guides about the nature in the regions
– proposal of exercises and practical activities that teachers can use in the teaching the environmental education
-poster on renewable energy sources
-presentation on the environmental impact of renewable and traditional energy sources
An important outcome of the project will be the creation of a stable partnership that will be used in the future to expand international cooperation. All partner schools will use the results of the project in the context of the educational process. Presentations, all the outputs and information materials obtained during the project implementation will be used in professional and general subjects. The results of the exchange of experience gained during the project will be incorporated in the school education programs. Schools can also use results for projects and activities in the context of further or lifelong learning.
