Project Summary

Project “School of equal chances” (016-1-PL01-KA219-026116 ) was co-financed within the European Union project Erasmus+, Sector: School Education, Action 2: Strategic partnership – schools co-operation. Co-financing amounted 29 950,00 euro. The Project was carried out for 13 months – from 1.11.2016 to 30.11.2017.
In the Project the following institutions took part: ZST In Slupsk – technical secondary and vocational school – as an applicant and OSK Offene Schule Köln gGmbH (OSK) – comprehensive secondary school and vocational school – as a partnership organization.
The main objective of the project was co-operation of both schools in aid for good practices interchange in integrated education sphere, in particular applying a project method in integrated groups.
The aim of the project was to increase the efficiency and the attractiveness of the integrated education; to develop disabled students’ social, intercultural, linguistic and IT skills; to enhance teachers’ professional knowledge who work in integrative classes and enrich their workshops by new methods and teaching tools.
The targets groups:
– 20 teachers from ZST and 8 from OSK who master qualifications to work in integrated classes,
– 10 students from ZST and 10 from OSK who attend above mentioned classes. In each of the group there were 5 students with special educational needs.

Within the scope of the project the following actions were carried out:
1.two international project meetings, aimed to plan and coordinate projects’ actions by both partners
2. various forms of teachers’ refinement: IT workshops on e-Twining, methodological on the project method in integrated education and videoconference on inclusive education model in partnership country.
3. classes on merits-related, cultural and pedagogical preparations: IT workshops, film workshops, touring and stress prevention, interpersonal and output training as well as lessons and workshops on recycling and healthy eating.
4. two short-term students’ exchanges:
– exchange in Slupsk (24.04.-29.04.2017r.) was devoted to accomplish educational project “Natural and regained resources”. The final effect of this Exchange happening. The participants presented their works during it – eco-people mock-ups (cut out from MDF boards and plastered with natural sources and wastes) and banners with slogans promoting the project’s idea
– exchange in Kolonia (25.09.-30.09.2017r.) was devoted to accomplish educational project “Healthy food – from production to consumption”. Its final result was a treat prepared by the participants which was accompanied by the presentation of “Eco-cook book” also made by them.
Execution of the project “School of equal chances” has brought the following „soft” results:
1. For the teachers:
-the increase of teachers’ knowledge connected with working in mixed-abilities groups and development of teachers’ abilities of recordkeeping and project evaluation of such kind of groups.
-the increase of experience connected with international cooperation and conducting physical mobilities
-fortifying the professional workshop : gaining new didactic and methodical solutions
– activation and widening of their educational horizon
– mastered IT and language skills as well as interpersonal and cross-cultural competence
2. For the students:
– development of IT, media and language skills and their crucial personal as well as social and cultural competence
-development of capability, emotional and cognitive sphere, increase of ecological and health-promoting awareness
-activation of handicapped students, increase of their life experience and self-esteem

-project work of students created during local activities and exchanges
-films made by the participants
-educational set ” The school of equal chances” containing lesson and workshop scenarios as well as the description of the projects: ” Healthy food- form production to consumption”, “Natural and regained resources”.
– packet of didactic help gained from the partner school
The project impact on participants’ organisations and other target groups:
-better work quality of participating schools and their promotion in the local surroundings
-effectiveness and attractiveness of integrated education
-activation of local and school society in favour of ecological education and ecology
Long-term benefits:
-gaining better quality of integrative training by implementation of the educational project as a permanent element of including education in ZST and implementation of impulses to development of integrative vocational class by OSK.
– improvement of educational achievements of handicapped students and their better start into future professional life.
-spreading the idea of social including, fighting against discrimination and segregation
-promotion of Erasmus+ program on the local and European level
