Project Summary

“Tell me your fairy tale!” project has connected five cultural different countries: Poland, Greece, Italy, Cyprus and Bulgaria. Each of them has brought a rich culrture background and many interesting ideas about working with students. All participants were primary school except for Bulgaria because it was a kindergarten.
Our project was a great opportunity for us to get to know the world of Polish and European fairy tales. We were primarily concerned with the fact that the word “fairy” was not associated only with a television cartoon. Apart from working with fairy tales in traditional form, we also used modern technologies in teaching to meet our goals. We wanted to encourage our students, which were sometimes full of popular culture, to take some traditional books. One of the main aims was to improve the situation but not only during the project. We wanted long-term benefits. We think we have accomplished all our initial intentions and in some areas we have managed to do more than we intended.
Our activities started with presenting our countries. We have started the correspondence which was based not only on traditional letters but on electronic ways too. Once a month we were making some activities which helped us to know our fairy tales. We have focused on the development of competencies among teachers. We were cooperating with parents and the whole families of our students. We were always full of ideas after all the project meetings. Our students enjoyed all the performanced and puppets’ exchange.
Thanks to the project our students read more books what we can see even during school breaks. Our techaer use some new educational methods which would not happen without partners’ help. We’re very proud of everything which we have created together: the common fairy tale, the publication for teachers and compilations of fairy tales. We have many albums which are bout our puppets’ journeys. Now we can tell about our partners’ schools to all our new students. During the project we have created a lot of multimedia tools and different educational materials which we’re going to use for many years, We continue many activities which are based on popularisation of reading books among students. We encourage them to take part in many school performances. We use the methods we have considered the most effective. Our language classes are at a very high level because we buya lot of teaching materials.Such big motivation of students and school staff made that we are ready for a new Erasmsmus+ projects.
