The Salesianos Pamplona school is immersed in a long-term project that is based on opening up to Europe, and involving with European projects to the largest number of students and teachers in the school. Due to this, the school, which has already carried out International exchanges, has decided to start a project that would allow Middle School students and teachers to participate in order to motivate them to learn the subjects of free choice and compulsory through the use of new technologies, knowledge of European cultural heritage and equiping them with linguistic and technical skills for their professional future.
For this, a partner with similar characteristics and with the same future project has been sought. All this using a single language as the main communication language for the project and among the members involved in it: English. For both schools, this would be the first experience in strategic partnerships at this educational level.

OBJECTIVES:
The ROTRAPAMPA project has the following objectives:
– Carry out an education that transcends the physical boundaries of the classroom using new technologies. Creating awareness of European belonging through a linguistic and cultural immersion. In this way, the social and educational value of European cultural heritage is developed.
– To ensure that the student is the central axis of the learning process. Through the use of new learning methodologies and with the help of digital media the student becomes the protagonist and the driver of the project.
– Make the project a feasible reality for all students. With an inclusive and participative purpose. Create awareness that can be learned in a school environment and not necessarily only with other Europeans crossing borders.

NUMBER AND PROFILE OF EXCHANGE PARTICIPANTS:
There will be a total of 24 participants divided between 4 teachers and 20 students. The profile of the students is that of students from 15 to 18 years of 4ºESO with a selection criteria based on academic record and language level for exchanges and transnational meetings.
10 students are from our school, Salesianos Pamplona, and another 10 students from Istituto Salesiano San Benedetto. All of them, without any experience in previous European exchanges, in order to give them the opportunity of this unique experience.

– Activities of short-term exchanges of groups of students: Activities aimed at achieving the main goal of the project which is the knowledge of other European cultures and make students feel their belonging to a common Europe with a history and visible heritage . All these objectives can be achieved with specific activities of cultural visits and stays with families and in schools.

Methodology:
The use of new methodologies and digital resources will be essential, with the student being the axis of the learning process. As well as training in entrepreneurship and collaborative work.

Brief description of the results:
Integration of the student in the daily life of the host country working on social inclusion. The student is the protagonist of their learning, performing it actively. Students will attend classes during their stay and will participate actively in the day-to-day life of the hosting School. The purpose is to create European awareness, so that any student, whether or not they stay in other countries, will benefit from the project.
In the case of teachers, their attendance at classes will allow them to observe and learn from other methodologies, as well as the use of new digital tools focused on the field of education.
