Project Summary

The world is more and more global – each and every one of us have to be prepared for this fact. In addition we also know that the physical and psycological health are essential for how we cope with all the challenges we meet in our society; how we learn, how we deal with situations, how we deal with different cultures, how we deal with global challenges etc. etc. With our project we will take this challenge serious and trough cooperation between Asker videregående skole and Colegio Inmaculada take our responsibility to develop citizens prepared to meet the challange and know more about how to take responsibility for themselves. We truly believe that we because of this project can make a big difference. When the differences between Spain and Norway regarding culture, habits, views, pedagogic etc. meet each other, we will be able to create new and innovative methodes that will lead to better lectures, better understanding and a better society. When differences meet we will be able to challenge each other and learn from each other. We will also be able to develop our two schools by improving our research skills. The school for the future will demand an even more detailed analysis on what happens in the classrom regarding learning. Along the journey we will have a lot of meetingspoints:- eTwinning (will be used actively during the whole period – both for the members of the project and viewers that are interested in the project it self, the progress of the project and the concrete outcomes of the projects).- face to face meetings between the involved teachers- exchange between the pupils in Asker and Alicante- web meetings/phone conferences- internal meetings in both Alicante and AskerIt is essential that this is a long-term-project so that we can adjust and make corrections along the journey. Then we will be able to develop lasting changes that really leads to a better understanding of how physical and psycological health can contribute to a better understanding. By using curricilum goals that are similar in both countries we have the quality assurance that we are staying with the current requirements regarind our education in both Norway and Spain.Subjects involved: Natural science, social science and physical education.Duration of the project: 3 yearsTeachers involved: 4 each year (2 from Alicante and 2 from Asker)Pupils involved: 88 pupils (44 from Asker and 44 from Alicante)School management involved: 2 each year (1 from Alicante and 1 from Asker)Outcome: 88 pupils better directly prepared to make a better society. At least 8 innovative lectures to be used in all first year classes. 12 teachers have improved own skills regarding creating innovative lectures and skills regarding research. Two schools have taken part in a journey that have developed them according to requirements in the future. The knowledge and competence will be spread out to all academic arenas in the two schools – and threw network spread the knowledge to other schools (start in the close networks of Asker vgs and Colegia Inmaculada)Important method to be used in the development of innovative lectures: Lesson Study.Communication channels: eTwinning, face to face, phone conferences. Both schools will be glad to publish results from this project so that our pupils and our schools are not the only ones taking benefit of this important and hopefull project. Looking forward to take our responsibility in making a better society.
