Project Summary

“Tolerance – a key to European integration” is a project which aim is to make young people aware of the importance of tolerance and its borders as far as social integration and working against social inclusion are concerned. The project will supply students with basic knowledge about human rights, stereotypes, minorities, social inclusion and discrimination mechanisms. The participants of the project will think about the future of European tolerance. International cooperation will let the participants share knowledge and experience and also realise that tolerance is a process that comes in both national and European interactions.
The project is also aimed at using the latest methods of online communication and presenting knowledge in multimedia way. The project activities will also cover gaining presentations and communication in foreign language skills.
The project will focus on social issues – will teach effective team work and making compromises in terms of taking decisions together.
During the project there are going to be held meetings, lectures and workshops about tolerance, stereotypes, social relationships, mentality, customs, habits and culture of particular region. The project will talk about disability, sexual and cultural tolerance.
Taking part in the project will show that even our habits can show differences between us but through observation and acceptance we can learn proper social behaviours. Completing the project will be motivation for further education, developing skills and looking into future as an European citizen – tolerant, mobile and empathetic.
