Project Summary
The main objective of this project is to give access to the school sector as well as to the children in general and to their families to tools allowing the development of social interaction skills in a systematic and structured way. These skills, which are necessary throughout life and which will enable them to adapt themselves to the world of work of tomorrow, are characterized by an important human dimension: creativity, solidarity, managing emotions, empathy, taking risk, planning, etc. These skills include the ability to know that one is interdependent, to be able to help each other, to understand the need of the other. The learning of such abilities is today the fruit of life’s hazards rather than the result of a structured thought which makes it possible to learn as a collective and to mobilize an intelligence in the service of collective challenges.
In the long term, the development of machines and artificial intelligence increases the need to equip future citizens with more complex skills, with a high social dimension. In the shorter term, these skills serve as the foundation and response to physical and moral violence in schools that has evolved and whose mastery by the educational institution is costly in terms of energy and time for teaching staff.
In order to activate the learning levers for these skills, we aim to approach them from a multidisciplinary angle and to put the child back at the heart of the acquisition of these tools, some of which will be directly intended for them. To this end, it is necessary for the adult to position himself in a new posture in relation to the child, as an interlocutor with equal validity.
The project therefore aims to put these levers into action with very specific tools that the partners use in their activities: philosophical practice, meditation and ludopedagogy. The project will highlight the complementarity of these tools which will serve as vectors for developing the targeted skills.
The project mainly targets actors in the educational world and more specifically students from 6 to 10 years old; the teachers and educators who will be the transmitters of this knowledge; the parents.
The partners, who specialize in organizing training courses and developing tools for the school and youth sectors, will work to develop
– The production of an educational kit “Philosophical Practice”
– The production of an educational kit “Meditation”
– The production of an educational kit “Ludopedagogy”
– The production of an educational box
These tools will be designed and thought out “ready-to-use” in order to facilitate their appropriation by users in various contexts: school, extracurricular, family and available in 4 languages (French, Luxembourgish, Dutch, German) in order to ensure their wide use in Europe.
