Project Summary

The aim of the project was to ensure Technological Learning and Digital Storytelling in Music Education and to enhance the awareness of adults and educators, of conscious and practical use of interactive technologies and provide a perspective. The project highlighted more efficient and effective learning through technological applications in music training. Our participating organisations; Konak Halk Eğitim Merkezi ve Akşam Sanat Okulu was Public Education Center that had purposes of social and cultural activities, environment, health, rural development, extinct cultures, cultural heritage, disadvantaged individuals, non-governmental organisations, youth, encourage entrepreneurship, vocational courses, integration of migrants. CEIPES, main activities of the organisation are: educational activities at local level and in network with local, European and International organisations. CEIPES works closely with the Directorate of Education of Palermo. The CCIP Chamber of Cooperation and Incentive for Partnership was a NGO specialised in setting up joint ventures with education and training institutions. Working with universities and colleges around the world, CCIP facilitated knowledge transfer and capacity building in education, professional and cultural programs. Paragon Europe is an SME focused on Research, Project Management and Technology Transfer. It was a company of high level professionals committed to educational courses and professional training. Liceul Technologic Agricol “Mihail Kogalniceanu” had interdisciplinary projects with a concrete reference to the content of the curriculum are made on the level of the different forms. Euni Partners is a non-governmental organisation, which works to encourage and expand the cooperation among the academia, business, institutions and educational organisations. The Association worked in partnership with several universities and schools in Bulgaria, aiming to improve the quality of education and training in accordance with the needs of the labor market. APCC – Associação de Paralisia Cerebral de Coimbra was a non-profit rehabilitation, education, training, and counseling organisation. APCC provided diverse client-services and guidance to disabled and people at risk of exclusion seeking an experience abroad to implement their personal skills in community. HIC Slovakia s.r.o. was a business consulting and training limited liability organisation. They focused on creative and modern ways of learning. Their key competence was Management of Change and IT-based Learning and Training. IDEC was a training consulting company located in Piraeus, Greece. Its activities consisted of training, management consulting, quality assurance, evaluation and development of ICT solutions for both private and public sector. We used teaching tools and by means of them we reached a wide audience. Basic ICT, internet and secure internet usage training was given by expert teachers. Basic Music information was given with technical music programs. We shared our experiments and our reflections about the local systems to widen our educational approaches and qualified our methods and our educational tools. So each institution organised, courses and meetings with professional and volunteer adults in order to make them conscious on music education had become more effective and multi-dimensional with the use of technologies.. Brochure, music lexicon, the work of “Traditional Instruments”, “Traditional and contemporary local composers” “Musical Information “ questionnaires and survey results, concert (live performance in Turkey), logo, workshops were the main activities.As impact on our trainees they gained awareness of more efficient and effective learning achieved through technological applications in music training. They improved musical skills and self-confidence, they used at the best technologies, as means for communications, interpersonal exchanges and access to information, the vision about people with disabilities needed essentially the same things as other people in general, even though they might require significant environmental adaptation and additional attention to their learning and functioning specifies .They got the social and cultural approaches of the use of ICT and the impact on social behavior. As longer-term benefits; For APCC, the project represented a great opportunity to disseminate cooperation and relationships for other similar organisations and schools in the field of Music Education for disabled people. Also the training course developed during the project has been presented to the Regional Directorate for Education Blagoevgrad and provided as a free learning resource to be used and reused in different schools in the region and in the country. Furthermore, the training course is in line with a recent reform in the Bulgarian educational system, requiring teachers to introduce digital tools in the classroom from September 2018.
