Project Summary
In the light of changing demands in the world of labour and a growing demand for skilled workers, but also in the interest of social recognition and better individual exploitation, intensive efforts are are undertaken at present throughout Europe in order to make competences of experienced adults more visible, to recognize them and to make them economically viable. . The partners of the “ValiSkills3” project want to support this process.
The project aims at a transnational exchange of information and experience from the introduction of validation systems in EU countries. The expected results are presentations of proven national practices and application experience as well as intensive discussions at the partners’ own background. They organise open blog discussions on various topical aspects of the topic, which should involve third parties (VET and labor market stakeholders, companies, etc.). Web discussions are complemented by on-site consultation.
Items of exchange are i.a. the relevance of proven validation procedures for the needs of continuing vocational training in other countries and their transferability, i.a. on
• Procedures and instruments
• legal obligation: usability, standardisation, uniformity
• acceptance in the education and employment system,
• Quality assurance,
• access and connecting options,
• Institutionalisation: roles, responsibilities, networking.
• Financing
The project work is based on the ValiSkills competence assessment procedure for formally low-skilled, which was developed in the two previous projects “ValiSkills” (ITP, 2012-14) and ValiSkills2 (KA2, 2015-17 / NA award as Good Practice project) (www. valiskills.eu). In particular, the possibility of gradually acquiring partial qualifications on the way to a vocational qualification is also a focus of this ongoing project
