Project Summary

Our project wants to be part of the 2020 EU and UN priorities which aim at promoting social inclusion of women and female emancipation in our societies. The focus will be on the exchange of good practices in order to study the realities in the north and south of Europe and create an awareness campaign in order to reduce women discrimination and to contribute to eliminating all forms of prejudices and violence against all women and girls in the public and private spheres.
First of all the target of the project are our sts and we want them to change their minds and to be aware that both women and girls have the same rights as men and boys. Working on the project they will realise that they can change their habits and attitudes towards the female world and they will also be able to convince other people of the necessity of “changing their lives, opening their minds, united in diversity” as the Erasmus+ motto says.

The 1°year of the project will be devoted to improve our stts’ knowledge about the female role in our societies. Our schools are situated in the South of Europe but we will develop an eTwinning community with countries in the North of Europe where women are more emancipated in order to compare experiences. As the decision-makers of tomorrow we need to empower our young sts to make the right choices using an engaging approach. The activities will aim to generate greater interest in the female role in our societies by encouraging interaction and exchanging good practices between the three countries and their Etwinning partners. We will start from a survey on the attitude towards female role in daily life, we will study and compare legislations and incentives of the European Union.
During the 2°year they will have to transfer the acquired information, knowledge and good practices by creating a social awareness campaign to warn people against discrimination and prejudices, to raise awareness about the necessity of changing our lifestyles and becoming more sensitive towards the necessity of improving the role of women, of informing everybody on the female emancipation projects.

We will analyse and study examples of women that have had successful as well as women who have suffered violence. Thanks to the work of cooperation and exchange of “good practices” from each country we aim at contributing to
• reducing all forms of discrimination against women and girls everywhere,
• making students aware of forms of female emancipation,
• ensuring that all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development, care and preprimary education so that they are ready for their education,
• abolishing many of the barriers to women’s empowerment and equity,
• reducing all forms of violence against all women and girls in the public and private spheres,.
• galvanizing continuous collective action to build a gender-balanced world in which everyone has a part to play.

We want to involve as many people as possible: sts, families, staff, our local communities, women associations since we are sure that everybody will benefit from the activities and the project products will contribute to make them more inclusive.Sts with special needs and with social integration problems will be involved in the activities and they will be the protagonists of the workshops.
For the implementation of the project we will organise:
– 3 short-term joint staff meetings of two teachers from each school
– 3 short term exchanges of 5 sts plus 2 accompanying teachers from each school during which an “event” focused on activities on women in
– the educational and technical world
– in the business and digital world
– in social and volunteering world
– in sports
– 1 short term exchanges of 5 sts plus 2 Teachers and the principal for the results dissemination
– 6 long-term sts’ mobilities,

The final product will be
• a practical guidelines to help inform about opportunities for women.
• some cortos on female conditions
• an eBook with women’s stories that had been object of violence as well stories of female emancipation collected in the two years and in each country.
• Posters with qr codes
• a photographic eBook in which the best pictures taken during the activities will be published as a result of a contest,
• conferences open to the community to present the best practices in our countries and in our virtual partners countries.
• a project website where all the project products and the material produced (stories, videos, pictures, etc) will accessible to everybody. It will contain the best practices of both physical and virtual partner.

The “ad campaign” will be used for the dissemination of the results of the project and it will be officially presented during the conferences with Euro parliamentarians during which the sts will present the results of their works. The youth will act as multipliers in their own communities, starting with their families and friends convincing about the absolute necessity of eliminating prejudice
