Project Summary
• Background of the project;
The problem that has been defined by the project partners during their daily activities was lack of interdisciplinary skills related with management – taking into account the professional and also private life. It is caused by lack proper education (early school leavers) lack of motivation and vocational guidance. To prove the necessity of the project aim all partners prepared the research – by contacting the youth groups from the local area.
The defined by the consortium set of skills helped the young people to manage their career effectively – despite of the sector and occupation. The international character of the project activities improved the national experiences and existing practices and were the first step to the closer international cooperation.
• Objectives
General aim of the project is to create opportunities of cooperation aiming youth trainers, VET providers and employers in order to define 3 aspects of the digital competences:
1. assessment tool for youngsters – which can be used as a self-assessment for young people or assessment tool for trainers or future employers.
2. basic training programme and supporting materials for youth workers/trainers – with the introduction of innovative system of recognition and validation of learning outcomes. (VCC system).
3. apprenticeship model in digital competences – defined together with representatives of employers to assure link from self-assessment via training model towards apprenticeship and employment.
• Number and profile of participating organisations
The project was implemented in cooperation with 5 organizations:
– Teza OOD (Bulgaria) – lead partner
– EDUFORMA SRL (Italy),
– ASOCIACIJA AKTYVUS JAUNIMAS (Lithuania),
– Fundacja VCC (Poland) and
– ASOCIATIA CENTRUL PENTRU STRATEGII DE DEZVOLTARE A TINERETULUI (Romania)
The project partners have experience and specialize in various fields of expertize: VET, business consulting, curricula development, training and education, new media, IT, vocational advisory, certification system, employment services. What is more represent different types of organizations – NGOS and SMES and different state of art in terms of the vocational advisory in the secondary or high schools (regulated by the state). The partners have also experience in successful implementation of EU projects and trainings delivery and cooperation with different organisations at national and international level. This consortium was based on the previous cooperation and common projects undertaken in last 2 years, partners were involved in common international projects or preparation of national proposals.
The partnership was established with the view of broad knowledge and experiences in different sectors and different daily activities in order to gather expertise and project results from different perspectives.
Experience valuable for YMEC project:
1. Teza OOD (Bulgaria) – ICT expertise, VET provider
2. Fundacja VCC (Poland) – expert in accreditation and certification, training development, innovation for other partners – VCC entrepreneurs network – for the VCC apprenticeship programmes.
3. Active Youth” Association (Lithuania) – expert in entrepreneurial education and working with youth, especially excluded groups.
4. Center of Strategies for Youth Development (Romania)–expert in youth work,
5. Eduforma (Italy)–experienced in implementation of policies related to youth strategies, such as Youth Guarantee, or support to young entrepreneurs.
• Description of undertaken main activities;
– support professional development of youth workers to cope with youth unemployment;
– develop innovative methods of youth work and language of learning outcomes
– increase the capacities, attractiveness and international dimension of participating organizations so that they are able to offer activities and programmes that better respond to the needs of individual youths;
– reinforce synergy between non-formal education, employment and entrepreneurship
– strengthen cooperation among youth, youth workers and employers.
• Results and impact attained;
The project have accomplished all the objectives set at application stage, and the accomplished goals are the following:
1. Tools for youngsters assessing skills and competences – that can be used in digital format.
2. Recognition and validation of youth workers skills in digital competences in management in VCC system
3. Development of the apprenticeship model in digital skills in cooperation with employers
4. Create new partnership and great opportunity to work at international level.
Results:
– Four transnational meeting foster the partner cooperation’s and future development of this collaboration;
– Four intellectual inputs for youngster, Youth workers and employers.
– One short-term joint staff event for 14 participants;
– One multiplier event in Poland for 53 participants.
