Project Summary
The objective of the project was to facilitate development of business mind-set and skills among young people by creating methodological tools and by training young people and youth workers.
To achieve this objective, following intellectual outputs were developed:
(1) Study on youth skillset requirements for business and employment
(2) Toolkit on business idea development and starting a business
(3) Methodological guidelines for youth workers to consult and to inspire young people to develop their business ideas
Project direct target group – young people who are interested in entrepreneurship, young entrepreneurs, youth workers (people working with young people in non-governmental sector, municipalities, etc.).
Project territory coverage – Latvia, Estonia, Spain
The main result of the project is facilitation of development of business mind-set and skills among young people in Latvia and Estonia.
Particularly, the most important practical results of the project are:
– Study on youth skillset requirements for business and employment
– Toolkit on business idea development and starting a business
– Methodological guidelines for youth workers
– Trained youth workers working with young people who aims to establish their own business
– Trained young people to develop their business skills and mindset
The participants in the project activities – youth and youth workers gained significant knowledge, practical tools, inspiration and know-how from the trainings, networking events and the methodological tools prepared within the project. The participating organisations – project partners benefited from being a part of this project due to the synergies that arose during the events and working together on methodological tools. The methodological tools are an important and easily replicable and applicable framework to work with youth. Tools created within the project are based on creative thinking methodology with a long-term perspective about the skills necessary for a young person in the 21st century in order to succeed.
