Project Summary
Statistics say that 85% of European households had an internet connection in 2016, which clearly confirms that the way people communicate has changed, moving all aspects of life online. The Internet has become important for daily life and participation in society as it enables people to access information and services at any time from any place.Twenty-first century and unstoppable evolution of technologies have brought a brand new order in all of the spheres of society, including the education. The development of E-learning is one of the most rapidly expanding areas of education and training, also when it comes to non-formal education and training activities. Opening a course to “everyone” is abstractly possible, but E-learning still needs trainers and facilitators, and they do not have examples to follow. It is a fact, that the potential that ICT has within the frame on NFE is not used to its full extent. Major developments in ICT are increasing the potential of NFE for example through its ability to:-Train and qualify practitioners online which will save costs and help practitioners to reach remote isolated areas-Facilitate the process of networking among organizations -Conquer physical and spatial constraints, providing unprecedented educational opportunities to people of all socioeconomic levels around the globe-Reach young people with fewer opportunityMain aim of this project is to build capacity of partner organisation for using online tools in non-formal education, enhancing the quality of non-formal education and youth work. Objectives- To explore benefits and limitations of online learning in the context of NFE- To bring innovation in NFE by creating new methods, techniques and concrete tools for online learning- Development of informational and communication tools in the field of youth work and non formal learning- To create and implement online courses on national or international level. – To promote the possibilities of online learning to wide range of organizations and institutions working on designing and implementing educational programs for youth leaders and youth workers.- Use online tools for non-formal education of young people through online non-formal learning courses; – Promotion of information and communication technology (ICT) in youth work, promotion of non-formal education- To develop new skills and competences of the youth workers and youth leaders, by using modern learning and teaching online technologies in order to educate young people.- To explore existing and develop new online tools in youth work and NFL- To develop example of online course using well-known web application like “Moodle” and its various learning modules.
