Project Summary

The idea of the project “Multimedia, Multidisciplinarity, Multiculturalism”, having the acronym “3Multi” emerged from the following common needs and hypotheses of the institutions that form this partnership:
-instead of creating amateurish multimedia content in order to post it on social media, the young people could use and improve both their digital competences for learning but also the European culture and values
-using multimedia and multidisciplinarity in education, the teachers would increase the quality and the efficiency of their lessons.

The objectives of the project are:
1.students’ and teachers’ digital skills development (MULTIMEDIA) in 6 domains: internet security, web design, animation, video, image and sound editing.
2. teachers’ professional development towards a multidisciplinary teaching style which would lead to a higher motivation for learning from the students’ side (MULTIDISCIPLINARITY);
3. cultural and linguistic development (MULTICULTURALISM): the students will make use of the digital skills and of English language to discover more about the European values, culture and traditions, elaborating digital materials on these topics. Interaction and group work will help these young students develop a range of qualities such as: tolerance, creativity, team spirit, critical thinking, communication skills.

We have conceived a plan for each LTT activity that contains:
-local preparation activities that will take place before the respective LTT activity highlighting the following elements: topic and objectives, target groups and facilitators, methods and tools used, time and place of the event, assessment methods and instruments.
-the activities that will take place during the project meeting for students and teachers: presentations, workshops, individual work or group/pair work, photo hunting, exhibition, team building, culinary events;
-dissemination activities that will take place locally after the respective LLT activity, being of two categories:
1) material preparation (presentations, short films, newsletters) that will be posted on the project’s website, on eTwinning, on each website of the participant institutions;
2) local workshops, meetings.
The risks are taken into consideration.

The lines of follow-up action are:
-developing the website of the project
-developing the multidisciplinary approach inside the partner institutions
-framing multimedia within didactic or extracurricular activities of the school
-keeping open all the communication channels created during the project
-beholding the impact of the project upon the students, the teachers, the school and the European dimension that has taken, the department for international projects from each partner institution will struggle to establish new contacts with schools from abroad in order to develop new projects.
-developing the project on eTwinning: enlarging the project and creating similar new ones are to be considered.

The dissemination will be made using strategies that are decided according to the target groups:
-pupils from the target groups belonging to each school
-teachers from each partner institution
-young people outside the partner schools that will visualize the materials posted online by the participants in the project
-teachers outside the partner school who will see the posted materials
-local community and authorities in education.
