Project Summary

The project was created on the basis of the need and with the aim of realizing exchange of experience, good practice and strengthening of cooperation between organizations from three countries ie Czech Republic, Poland and Germany. These organizations are active in integrating people with disabilities into society, especially in their vocational education, training and employment. In order to meet the main objective of the project, the following activities were carried out: 1) six thematic workshops and continuous cooperation through a web platform to facilitate exchange of good practice, know-how, methods and forms of work with people with disadvantages for at least 30 experts from partner organizations and countries involved, 2) four hospitality visits to enable these experts to have a look at the specific day-to-day practices of their colleagues in specific area; 3) a total of eight exchange practices where disabled people and their assistants have the opportunity to test specific activities using different working methods and teamwork in individual partner organizations and countries; 4) to create three training manuals that form part of the work-education system of the disabled person preparing for the application in work and personal life, 5) to process and submit a successful application for a follow-up project on KA2, which will allow the partners to start up next cooperation, 6) to implement the final conference on which the activities and outputs of the project were presented. Participation in specific activities of the project contributed to strengthening social, personal and work competencies of individual participants, ie not only disabled people, but also experts who, besides transferring good practice and exchange of experience, gained new knowledge that they could apply to their practice. There has also been a strengthening and development of individual organizations, for example, when organizing individual events with international participation and sending participants to another country. An important aspect is to raise awareness of the European Union’s support for international cooperation and the exchange of experience between organizations working to promote disadvantaged people.
