Project Summary
Objectives achieved:
– increasing the attractiveness and improving the quality of general education and reducing the differences in the educational achievements of students of partner institutions over a period of 36 months,
– increasing knowledge and disseminating the idea of science with elements of programming, robotics from an early age in primary schools over a period of 36 months.
Detailed objectives:
– leveling educational disproportions and improving the knowledge of students from partner schools and staff of partner institutions by participating in a pilot program of learning through experiment,
– support for teaching based on information and communication technologies, programming, robotics and experimental methods,
– developing new approaches to improve the competences of already practicing educators and equipping them with all the competences and skills necessary to provide high-quality services,
– increasing access to and promotion of Europe’s emerging open educational resources.
In the context of the project’s objectives, we and our partners have identified “Open and innovative practices in the digital age” as the most important priority. In our project, we developed the results of intellectual work based on information and communication technologies and experimental methods to develop scenarios for additional classes in European primary schools (primary) using elements of robotics and programming. The results produced are used for teaching based on information and communication technologies and experimental methods.
The implementation of the project responded to the need to learn, define and apply remedial actions in the field of developing creativity, curiosity of students of partner schools in cooperation with two economic entities that have a chance to develop staff in their research areas carried out outside the project. The development of creativity and curiosity serves to effectively motivate and awaken passion, improve the educational results of students, which in turn improves the quality of functioning of both educational institutions and improves the quality of education. Thanks to the project, the partners have the ability to independently create the future, they develop through their own experiences, skills and attitudes.
The results were disseminated through various channels – through the use of the following means:
– social media (FB), where the success of the project was measured by the number of followers,
– mailing campaign – information was sent to target groups, in accordance with the dissemination strategy, interested in the results achieved, and to entities that will express their interest in the results of project work (e.g. students and teachers from other schools).
– industry contacts, industry press – reports and recommendations of substantive teams were made available to a wider group of recipients through contacts with other organizations of the same industry (e.g. through associations, chambers).
– continuing contacts with foreign trainers, maintaining these contacts via social media and expanding the circle of friends who did not participate in the trip.
– Internet – VALOR platform, website with information about the implemented project and the results of work, exchange of experiences. The website was updated with the implementation of individual project activities. With this measure, we reached three groups of addressees of dissemination activities.
– oral communication during meetings, participation in conferences, speeches and oral reports, meetings at pedagogical councils, parent-teacher meetings, direct contacts – a low-cost method involving participants in sharing knowledge about experiences. With this measure, we reached three groups of addressees of dissemination activities.
– we used events (e.g. open days of partner schools and other schools, educational fairs, conferences of other entities). With this measure, we reached three groups of addressees of dissemination activities.
Thanks to the training, the PARTICIPANTS of the project gained unique experience, broadened their knowledge and acquired new social and adaptive skills, facilitating cooperation in a group and in a professional team. The youth participating in the project became more open, independent and better understood the cultural differences in Europe. The success of activities undertaken by students contributed to an increase in motivation and commitment, to take the initiative.
