Project Summary
Entrepreneurship has a significant social value for the environment in which it takes place, which is not only economic. It represents an appropriate source of economic development, social cohesion and response to social and environmental challenges. For entrepreneurship to occur effectively, it is necessary that certain social, economic and political conditions in society are met.
The ENTREPRENEURS 7X21 was designed to help potential entrepreneurs in their professional activities increasing their success chances in the business world. This affected positively all the participating countries and implied direct benefits in their economy such as professional & personal growth of beneficiaries, more ethical and competitive behaviour, better prepared personnel, reinforced leadership and an added value in their communities in general.
The project planned to develop 7 competences for the entrepreneurial future through a series of training programs, called “pills entrepreneurship” and a guide of 21 real experiences of entrepreneurs which demonstrate 7 skills to set an example of good practice in entrepreneurial future.
The overall objective in this project was to increase the training of future entrepreneurs through a number of adapted innovative training programs and through a good practice guide with 21 real success stories.
Therefore, the project contributed to the development of generic skills and promoted entrepreneurial experiences in education and training. It provided the development of information technology and knowledge and the production of “open educational resources” in various European languages.
The products bring innovation as they are based on new methods and they focus on renewed but fundamental competencies that potential entrepreneurs should acquire nowadays in this changing economic context.
Two intellectual products supported this process: O1 “Pills Entrepreneurship” and O2 “21 actual case studies in entrepreneurship”.
The O2 “21 actual case studies in entrepreneurship” model, is a supplementary intellectual output designed to strengthen the capacities of educators’ organisations to apply the innovative O1 “Pills Entrepreneurship”model effectively in their daily work.
The methodology is easy to implement and practical at the same time, it is constructed from real case studies that collect all the possible entrepreneurship problems that need to be addressed and there were seven main topics built around these issues:
1. Creativity, Innovation and Initiative;
2. Communication and Networking;
3. Conflict Management, Negotiation, Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution;
4. Self – esteem;
5. Achievement Orientation, Planning and Time Management;
6. Leadership and Management of Work Teams;
7. Risk Assumption.
Around these seven competences were built the 21 Training Pills (Intellectual Output 1), with the purpose of offering support to target group representatives in developing the necessary skills. Apart from the previous mentioned materials, there were integrated also 21 case studies (Intellectual Output 2), based on successful real business experiences, within the E7X21 training program; all with the purpose of educating the learners to become effective entrepreneurs.
The E7X21 consortium is composed of 7 organisations from 6 different EU countries (RO, CZ, ES, LT, IT and PL) and shows cooperation between new and old European Member States. In order to ensure a successful implementation of the project, the partnership comprised an NGO that works in the area of Lifelong Learning, an association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, a career development and integration center, an expert organization in the field of ICT and education technologies, an organization for training and innovative services, an organization specialized in entrepreneurship field, and an university.
Although the project’s impact was expected to go up to 5 years, the fruits and profits from its educative tools are expected to be much more durable and stable beyond this period.
The final impact is to increase the economic productivity in these countries and motivate talented people with new ideas to start their own business applying all that they have learned during this project.
