Project Summary

TRUTH aims to foster cooperation between 4 entities from 3 different countries (BE, DE, Chile) committed to share and exchange good practices, experiences, feedbacks, guidelines and working methods in the field of peace education. The specific objectives are to 1) capacitate youth workers (YWs) to acquire competences in conflict resolution, diversity management and multicultural negotiation, to empower them to assume a central role in the society and foster social integration; 2) develop a successful strategy to recruit YWs; 3) enhance the cooperation and share experiences between organizations working with youth and vulnerable groups. To meet the first objective, TRUTH will elaborate and test an innovative and proactive training path with the support of a certified trainer. The training path will be structured in different phases: a) 1 workshop on “Conflict management and negotiation for YW”; b) 4 training modules on the e-learning platform developed by the project; c) 2 International Seminars, one in Chile and one in DE; d) 3 small projects with ONGs, to transfer the skills gained during the project with other entities; e) 5 summer camps to transform learning outcomes into practical applications, delivering training themselves.During this training path, YWs will constantly be encouraged to share their experiences and lesson learned with the rest of the group. To do this, when they are not physically together, they will use the e-learning platform, an innovative and interactive tool the will allow them to keep in touch, debate and share experiences.TRUTH partners working directly with youths share the challenge of recruiting personnel for their activities. The project will provide the opportunity to elaborate a common methodology that can be applied in their countries and run recruitment campaigns.Finally, cooperation with local NGOs and dissemination activities will result in an increase of TRUTH partners’ network and in the sharing of the project methodologies with other organization interested to offer a similar training path of their workers.With TRUTH, key principles around conflict resolution, mediation and multicultural cooperation will become the mainstream of future similar actions that can be replicated around the world and therefore ensure the continuity of the project.
