Project Summary

According to latest data, 2017, the population of Çerkezköy district is 146000 and Kapaklı’s is 105000. Çerkezköy and Kapalı districts are most populated third and fourth districts of Tekirdağ. Having been supplying education for adults to provide them with vocational and general skills Kapaklı and Çerkezköy Public Education Centers are the only public institution that is active in this field locally. Kapaklı Public Education Center conducts its studies in its 100 m2, single-floor building with limited facilities. Çerkezköy Public Education Center works in a building with 4 classrooms. Because these two public education centers lack of efficient physical infrastructure their capacities are far from meeting the educational demands of applying adults in the fields of vocational and general skills.

Atmospheric developments and change occurred in information technologies has become quite effective on education sector. One of the most important impacts brought by information technologies to educational activities is e-learning which is a new education method and gains more importance day by day. Students/trainees can individualize learning materials pursuant to their individual needs with e-learning. This facility enables students/trainees to be able to control the education process more. Students/trainees can study on a topic until they learn it. Everybody can learn at his/her own pace in this system. In addition to that, it is possible for students/trainees to use of efficient teaching materials in every venue and time in which Internet access is available in this system.

Lacking of necessary physical infrastructure Kapaklı and Çerkezköy Public Education Centers will only be able to reach the capacity to meet all demands by creating e-learning materials that will make the remote education possible and by offering those materials to students/trainees. Kapaklı and Çerkezköy Public Education Centers feel the necessity to produce innovative and successful solutions to meet demands of adults. E-learning materials will make remote education possible as well as it will raise trainees’ interest to classes, make the process more attractive by evoking many senses of trainees and increase the efficiency of education training process. As there is no in-service MEB (National Education Ministry) training on assessment and evaluation by developing and supplying e-learning materials to learners, it is necessary to eliminate this need by founding international cooperation.

We aimed to provide the teachers working in Kapaklı and Çerkezköy Public Education Centers with knowledge, skills and experience to prepare e-learning materials related to their professional fields and transfered innovative and successful practices applied in the European countries on this area to the project partners. To reach this aim a partnership were founded among Associazione “Submeet – incontrarsi per crescere” and “Palatul Copiilor” Focsani.

Within this project;
• Need and existing practices of each partner on e-learning materials is assessed.
• Innovative and successful practices of the partners is evaluated to use in e-learning material preparation and in education-training process; new strategies were developed to transfer these innovative and successful practices to other partners.
• E-learning materials developed in English
• E-leaning materials prepared is tested by being but into serve for trainees and necessary e-learning materials created.

Knowledge, skills and experience of the staff of the participating organizations about preparation of e-learning materials were promoted. They had experience in collecting e-learning materials, enable students/trainees to benefit from e-learning materials through a joint web platform and quality of education and training activities increased. The project enabled working people in particular, to develop themselves whenever they want.

We shared the prepared e-learning materials within the project on a web platform we created “ekapakli.com”.
