Project Summary

E-learning trainings in the field of customer service for car workshops, developed under the project entitled:“Development of competence mechanics passenger vehicles with professional customer service as part of the growth of competitiveness in the local market”, financed by the European Social Fund under the Erasmus Program Plus.

The content of 18 e-learning courses are the most important principles and the latest trends in customer service in the car workshop. Courses show how important is the appearance of the car workshop, its organization and promotion. They give advise how to encourage car owners to leave they cars for repair in this workshop and how to, thanks to the introduction of small changes, increase the competitive advantage of the workshop.

The authors are Inter Cars experts from Poland, Lithuania and Latvia, and GroMar from Poland is responsible for the production and e-learning solutions.

As a result of dissemination and recommendation of training contents among independent car workshops, the quality of customer service can be improved in independent car workshops, which in turn will bring growth of competitiveness of these workshops and a long-term change in the social perception of services provided by this sector.
Significant development trends in the automotive sector in Poland and Europe, in addition to new technologies, are the development of employee competencies and the ability to business consolidation. Developed trainings in the field of ‘soft’ worker competences fill up the shortages in the training market, which is dominated by technical issues, and meets the needs of branch.
For the Partnership, the biggest challenge now is to make car mechanics introduce the solutions presented in trainings in their workshops. The first step in this direction will be recommending trainings, as auxiliary material, for the workshops applying for membership to the network services cooperating with the IC.
