Project Summary

The project “The use of modern technologies in the arts and humanities” involves the exchange of good practices between the Municipal School Complex No. 5 in Gorlice and schools in Denmark, Spain.Slovenia. It is based on the same needs of schools and established on the basis of the following project objectives:
— Increasing of the use of modern technologies in the field of humanities / literature, history and knowledge of society / art, music /, to improve the learning outcomes.
-Improving of the ability to use information, express opinions and increase vocabulary resources – thanks to the use of IT.
– Increased interest in learning history, literature, music, European culture and art, and heritage of their ancestors based on IT
– Increasing of cognitive abilities, internal experiences, sensitivity and building humanity, European citizenship – based on the use of IT.
– Adaptation of IT-based methods to the possibilities of ethnically diverse students / refugees / and students with special needs / ADHD, Asperger /, and those who want to leave school too early – to equalize their educational opportunities
-Improving of students’ creativity based on IT used for teaching the above subjects
– Creating of a common European mainstream teaching in the fields of humanities and arts with the help of IT
-Improving of international communication, social competences / openness, tolerance, empathy, group work /
-Improving of the ability to use English in practice
It also strengthens teachers’ competences by consolidating knowledge and skills in IT.
The level of knowledge and competences acquired will be assessed as a percentage, on a scale of 1-6, based on surveys, interviews, conversations and observations of activities. It is assumed that their growth will increase the average appraisal by at least 75%, 4 – on a scale of 1-6 , It is assumed that participants of the project will be highly satisfy and they will believe that this project implementation is a response to the needs of participants and schools.
The participants of the project are all students of our achools/ primary schools / in the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 school years from the age of 13-15. They will take part in the design work carried out at the school level. Some of the students, as well as representatives of the teaching staff at each school, will take part in mobility activities. Project activities include classes scenarios based on IT, learning and applying new methods: Design Thinking, Flipped Classroom, VAK, Blended learning and IT tools / e.g. RWT Timeline, WorlCloude, Stripgenerator and other ones to acquire, collect and process information and as part of working with disadvantaged students or those with special educational needs,
Various working methods will be used during carrying out of the activities,: presentations on a specific topic, workshops, group work including international ones, learning through experience, storm, brainstorming, discussion, project method, self-presentation
The results include, above all, the implementation of intended objectives. It is also assumed to improve competences such as: learning from each other, project management via objectives, management of team, time and resources. The project will also create products classes scenarios based on IT, an instruction related to IT methods and tools useful to work with students in humanities and arts, including disadvantaged students with special educational needs, ethnically and nationally diverse, including refugees.
