Project Summary

Project pt. TU gap year was jointly initiated and developed by OFF school Foundation from Poland and CROS from Romania. The project fits into the priorities of YOUTH: “Promoting entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship education among young people,” as well as “Promoting youth empowerment” and “Promoting good youth work”. The project has a direct connection and impact on young people aged 18-30, including those with fewer opportunities and non-formal education. The goal of the project is to build a GAP YEAR program that will help you find young people, orient yourself to future work, find your career path, and strengthen your skills. The program take into account the holistic nature of the individual learning of young people, learning new areas, acquiring knowledge and skills, and implements the most effective ways to help young people develop autonomously and responsibly. Dedication to the youth program will directly affect development, include the establishment of positive relationships, and listening to each participant’s individual ideas in creating an effective learning climate, learning.

The project responds to the needs of young people:
* To become independent, to get rid of the fear of unemployment
* Acquire collaboration skills
* Analyze yourself – your self-awareness, your values and your abilities
* Work on confidence, self-confidence
* Ability to learn, including non-formal education.
* Know your needs, find interests, passions

Each of the partners in the project works in the field of non-formal education of youth, organizes projects for 18-30 year olds, knows the needs of the group, its expectations and problems in the surrounding reality. Each organization therefore has the experience to achieve the intended results and project indicators. He also has in his circle young people who jointly initiated the project. The innovative nature of the project will focus primarily on youth-oriented solutions in the form of the GAP YEAR program, which will be a model for young people who, on their own initiative, want to expand their competencies, experience but also for those seeking direction, inspiration, Not only in the sphere of formal learning.

The results of the GAP YEAR program, online platforms, and YouTube videos are contribute to:
– greater ability of young people to plan their education, including non-formal education and career development,
– possibility of verifying alternative forms of learning, workshops, events, internships for young people,
– improving the quality and effectiveness of educational activities for young people
– Enhance the ability to search information, select content, prioritize, manage yourself in time among youth
– more effective use of time during study / study by participating in the Gap Year program – this does not necessarily mean a break in education – it can only be carried out in parallel to study
– Promote the development of solutions developed in other European countries among non-formal education institutions and bodies
– increased interest in non-formal education of young people
– building traffic and interest in GAP YEAR among young people.

Project results are disseminated through planned activities within the project and after completion of Through dissemination events in 2 countries, mailing information about the results of the project, information on the project platform about its results, and information and materials on the partner websites.
